Anyone having issues accessing MFL (1 Viewer)

Atrocious customer service for them to at least not post something at myfantasyleague.com. If a league was in the middle of an actual live draft (happening in one sitting), MFL should refund them a generous portion of the yearly fee. If this keeps going for a significantly longer period of time, they could lose a ton of customers. I know I have an awfully long memory when stuff like this happens.

Boards going down is one thing. A lack of communication about what is happening, what they are doing to correct it and a timeline is inexcusable.

MFL crashed during our live experts draft last night. I believe one of the other site owners participating was in contact with someone from MFL and they said they were monitoring it closely. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm sure they are working on it. Agreed that some communication from them would be helpful though.

As much as I like the feature, it's time that the stop hosting free leagues and drafts when the paying customers are suffering.

i am having trouble receiving waiver claim emails

i am signed up through MFL to deliver waiver claims to my inbox

i check these and make moves sometimes (MOX leagues are FCFS)

sometimes i'll get emails hours later and sometimes even days later

i went to pick up one player only to find out the waiver took place two days ago, he had already been picked up, dropped again, and picked up by someone else (ALL BEFORE I GOT THE FIRST EMAIL OF THE FIRST DROP)

very frustrating

All 3 of my slow auctions drafts just went haywire. Players awarded at low prices from hours ago, winning bids to guys who lost, etc. What a mess.

To be fair, I received this response from Mike Hall at MFL.

Yes, we had some system/database problems last night and we're working on resolving the issues today. You can request a full refund at anytime if you want to cancel the league. But we're confident that you won't have any draft issues going forward. We'll communicate with an update to the community here shortly. Thanks,Mike Hall

I hope not....I've got a draft starting in 20 minutes!

I just received this reply:

Yes, we apologize for the system outages here last night and earlier today. We're working diligently to resolve them and make sure they don't re-occur in the future. We'll post an update in our system as soon as it is fully resolved, but for now, you and your owners should experience full access again.ThanksMike
What scares me is the "capacity" issues. I am wondering, as my league is one of them, if the overpricing by CBS has caused a spike in MFL members and now they do not have the bandwidth or server capacity to support us all.

That plus the 50% discount for leagues coming over from Fanball.

I asked for more detail on what is going on and this is what I received, hopefully this helps some of you out there.
The web servers couldn't connect to our main database server because of connections issues. Once they're not able to establish a connection, they're not able to serve up dynamically generated pages properly, and then the issue just cascades as page requests pile on top of each other. So while it came across as a "capacity problems", it was really an underlying database configuration issue (as far as we can tell initially). We'll be doing analysis and testing here over the next 24-48 hours to confirm and correct the problem.Hopefully that helps?ThanksMike

I think what is killing them is they are offering a free trial to new users and this is exactly what caused alot of of problem at Fanball.

I am switching over to MFL after being on Fanball for years. A lot of my owners wanted to go Yahoo, so I am going to be toast if MFL disappoints...

This has actually been kind of embarrassing because after CBS jacked up their price again, I convinced my local league to switch to MFL, many of them wanted to stay with CBS, but I told them how reliable MFL was and at less than half the price it seemed like a no-brainer. Now I look like a jackass because several of them have been complaining that they haven't been able to get to our league site on multiple occassions since our draft.

I really hope they get all of their issues straightened out soon. :goodposting:

I dropped MFL after last year when they did not answer my e-mail or FAX. They also refuse to take phone calls. I am going ESPN this year - at least they are free AND will accept phone calls on an 800 number to resolve issues. ESPN is not as flexible, and I have heard/read some horror stories about the service, but at least they are accessible. Hopefully I have made the right decision.

No problems last night. I have used them for years and never had many problems. They were always easy for me to contact. I'm still very happy with them.

I assume your league is redraft, because yahoo doesn't do dynasty or keeper leagues.

These guys are in every league and if the site wasn't going down on occasion they'd find something else to complain about.

Let me make a guess. You use yahoo for your email.People have been complaining about emails being slow arriving on Yahoo from MFL. This is most likely an issue with Yahoo's spam filter. There's a write up on it in another thread. I can tell you I have both a slow auction going for the last 2.5 weeks and a slow draft going for the last week. I'm getting probably 20 emails a day and none have seemed to have such problems. But then I'm not on yahoo.

Oh, and the intermitent access problems disappeared quite awhile ago and haven't come back at least for my leagues. The only hiccup for the last week and a half was that half hour to hour they had the database problem.

Now the reports won't update. We changed the scoring and the report for top players won't update. It has been all day now so its not that I just made the change. Customer service has ignored my ticket/questions. I am getting tired of all of these problems with this website.

Seems like they're down again. Can't get into any of my four sites.

Can't get to their support boards either. Neat.
