anyone here starting calvin johnson this week? (1 Viewer)

I am sitting him and starting r. williams, edwards and s. holmes for now. I also do not want to start 2 wrs from the same team who are not named harrison and wayne. I really didnt want to draft him after I took williams, but I just couldnt pass at 6.23

I'm sitting him in favor of AD (flex). Fwiw, if I didn't have AD, I would start Curry this week over CJ2, as Detroit's pass defense is horrid.

For the 3rd slot I have C. Johnson, Michael Jenkins, and Ernest Wilford. I don't think I have a choice but to start him.

He is starting as my 4th WR. I could start Jacoby Jones, but no way.

I also am starting Roy Williams, Steve Smith and Anquan Boldin

I'd be a little leary of starting Calvin after the reports that he's got a case of dead legs. I realize that was around 10 days ago, but I'd be more comfortable after he got a game or three under his belt and was officially listed as the starter over Furrey.

He will be matched up against Fabian Washington (5'9''), so yeah, I'm going to start him with confidence.

BTW, I smell a smoke screen with the dead legs and non start. Martz and Marinara are trying to catch the Raiders by surprise.

As my WR2 Im starting him all year.GET SOME!!!
 In my case.
How did you guys end up with Calvin as your #2 WR? The only thing that I can think of is that you took 3 RB's, 1 WR and a top QB in the first 5 rounds, or maybe you scooped up Gates with three RB's and a WR or two RB's, a QB & WR. In non PPR leagues he's been a 7th rounder on average. In WCOFF Satellite's (PPR) he's going late 5th.

This is a start 3 WR/flex dynasty where last year my 3 starters were J.Walker, Berrian, and Jenkins/Micheal Clayton/Curry. In week 1 due to my rookie draft and trades I'm starting Walker, Calvin, Coles, and Hackett.

OK, dynasty makes more sense. I'd still be a little leary of Calvin as my #3 (for this year) long term he'll be $$$. Calvin as my #2 in a start 3 WR Dynasty this year is telling me that your looking for a top 3 pick in next year's rookie draft

I took him at 6.01 as WR24 off the board. Took Maroney, Harrison, Deuce, Shockey and Kitna before him.

Oh my god yes....All I have to say is, watch the nfl.com video's under Calvin Johnson. One pass he jumped to get in between two defenders making him look like Sauron amongst Hobbits!

Possibly. This due to the initial draft 4 years ago where I took Vick at 1.02, but I'd never been in a dynasty before. Also, KJ's injury doesn't help me this year, but with drafting Calvin, Willis and Poz with 3 picks in the top 14, I look like I'm headed in the right direction. Hopefully!!

I got Gates, 3 RB & 1 WR ahead of him, and he's a sort of a co#2 on my team with Mark Clayton. Really he's a #3, but I drafted him first. He will be sitting for Clayton and Ahman Green at WR2 & Flex, respectively.

I'm starting him on a hunch over Jerricho and Hackett. I also have Roy, so I'm just betting on a Detroit blowout of the Raiduhs.

And yeah, I have Calvin as my 2. It went RB-WR-TE-RB-RB-WR my 1st 6 rounds. Calvin in the 6th.

 between Calvin and Chris Chambers as my WR3 in a keeper league.

Probably going with Chambers in the end, but right now I have CJ in.

1-2 are AJ and Plaxico Burress.
