Anyone rolling out Andre Brown this weekend? (1 Viewer)

I know its only his first game back, but does anyone think he is worth a start vs. a pitiful Oak DST?? Could he see 13-15 carries?? Thanks for any insight!

Thanks!

I might start him over Bernard. This game has blowout written on it.
Probably doing the same.Between Gio's ribs and the coaching staff planning on limiting his carries, going to roll the dice with Brown.

All signs are pointing to Brown being limited himself, but if he's running strong and Hillis isn't, maybe he is going to be fed the ball. Could be a blowout as you say, although not counting on that.

Jacobs is out I think..Giants cant blow out anyone when expected to do so, they barely beat Vikings a few weeks back.As a Giants fan , This is the type of game we see over and over - they play to the level of their opponent, where they struggle to win..I know vegas is trying to tell you its a blowout, laying -7 pts, against a WC team travelling east off a blowout loss vs. a team coming off the bye..Im just not ready to say the Gmen are any good defensively, so a shootout is more than likely to happen. Id be all over Brown , Doubtful they limit him..I also big on D. Moore, Eli, Nicks, Cruz... they'll likely use Brown till he breaks..They need wins at any cost..

starting Brown with confidence...

He'll be on my bench in one league, however I can definitely see him being a top 15 play this week in standard leagues. He has upside for getting 1-2 TD's IMO.

Bye week issues so I have to choose between Brown and Hillis who was the best of what's left on the WW. Think I might throw up now.......

I don't own Andre Brown, but if I did I think I'd hold off for a week until we know how he looks and what his role is.

FTR, I am starting Peyton Hillis in one league, I think he will be the guy to play in the NYG backfield this week. This may be the last week of fantasy relevance for Hillis though.

I'm holding off on him this week. I actually hope he blows up in my bench though. That would give me great conviction about starting him next week.

I have to choose between Brown and Jennings. My heart is with Brown. Head is with Jennings. Will be a GTD.

Yeah, i have the same choice...right now going with Jennings, thinking he is more likely to get the lions share of carries for oakland, as opposed to Brown sharing with Hillis.

The guy has been practicing for 3 weeks straight!

If he was a racehorse, he'd be rearing up in the starting gate.

Considering Brown over J. Nelsen although leaning towards giving Brown a week and putting my trust in GB coaching staff to keep Jordy afloat.

Wrestling with Brown as well, other options are J.Bell, or D.Williams... Leaning towards Bell right now...

This is true, although Coughlin himself said there's a big difference between him practicing and being in a game situation.

All that said, as mentioned, something tells me he won't be nearly as limited as the beat writers have been saying. Just a gut feeling though.

Starting him with confidence over Ray Rice...hell I would start my grandma over Ray Rice and she has been dead for over ten years.

i'm waiting...all reports say that the giants will ease him in, that they have a handful of plays for him, hillis is the starter, etc. all signs point to limited touches.

practicing is different than actual playing. who was it that recently came back and said he was "gassed" and definitely feld it in his legs?!

Starting over Sproles and the Law Firm.

I think he gets the goal line looks.

I think that was actually Hillis, and that was after playing an NFL when he was sitting on his couch the weekend before.

So glad I started him over SJax.

If the workload remains the same, I don't see a reason why he can't be a solid RB2 ROS.

As a Foster owner, this couldn't have happened at a better time. Plus, the G-Men won and are right in the hunt. Could be a difference maker for fantasy owners.

[fingers crossed]

Congrats to the brave among you.
Not so much brave as pissed off at Ray Rice - the real value of this experiment is now I have no qualms about buring Rice at the end of my bench if I can't trade him. With Vereen back next week, Brown showing he is the lead dog and Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles in reserve - Ray Rice is now dead to me.

I sat him.

Needless to say, I wont be doing that this week with Vereen.

Vereen/Brown from here on out. Gio and Murray can ride the pine. Anyone else hitting the FF Casino with me?
