Anyone rolling with Best this week?> (1 Viewer)

Cutting him in a 10 teamer to avoid fooling myself into thinking he is a viable starter. Should have used the crystal ball and dealt him after Week 2.

Ditto, I am dumping him today as well.

Im benching him this week, so obviously he will have a monster game. Starting Benson, Blount, D. Brown over him.

Best is probable after Schwartz saying on Monday that his turf has gotten worse every week since he injured it. :pickle:

Just shut the kid down. Team blows and he is clearly injured. Him being active does not give the Lions any better chance of winning games right now.

This is the route I went. Every week I would read optimistic forecasts from all over the internet and give into temptation and put him in at the last minute. But last week was the last straw. I cut him before the game even ended. I haven't filled his roster spot.

Nope. Short week. He usually rests Tues and wed and then sucks on Sunday. Can't imagine he'll do any better on thurs. T jones in for me

No way, no how.

I can't bring myself to cut him just yet, but I'm going to have to see something out of him before he sees my starting lineup again.

With Sidney Rice getting back into the swing of things and now occupying my WR3/Flex spot, Best is on my bench and probably will remain there barring some new play calling from the OC, the line learning to block and Best getting healthy.

Even before I saw Best was probable, I already decided I was starting him at flex.

It's just a hunch, but I think part of the reason Best played so little last week was because Schwartz wanted to make sure he was ready for this game. Schwartz is facing his mentor in Bill Belichick, and I think he wants to win this game bad. Best will have 10 days to rest after this game, and I think he'll see a good amount of touches against the Pats.

Part of being a rookie running back in the national football league is learning to play hurt and then learing to play effectively when hurt.

I think Best is worth a look. For me, I'm going to likely go with him as my other options are wells and Lynch. Tough call.

I have to use Rice and McGahee this weekend, cant afford a 1-2 pt day.

DET will be behind early, so running isnt in their cards.

They should sit him for the year. I guess Morris is a decent option tomorrow, if you HAVE to use a Lion.

Maybe no amount of in-season rest was going to fix the toe injuries, but I wish they would have put him on the shelf for multiple weeks instead of letting him go out there every week and plod into a poorly blocked run plays up the middle.

I can't see starting him until we see something positive on the field. I'd be strongly considering cutting him too, but I'm playing the waiting game on multiple players with murky injury situations before I decide who gets the axe for now.

Starting him at flex (PPR) due to lack of options and Marshall hurt. Same goes for Moss at WR. This week should officially shut the door on my playoff hopes for that team.

Don't kid yourself, he won't do much this week. Benching him at the flex spot in favour of Davone Bess.

:lmao:
double :lmao:No offense, but the Lions want to win every game real bad. Schwartz is not "saving" anyone for any particular game. Morris will get more touches in this game, but neither will be startable since Hill will be airing it out to keep up with the Pats.

Any word on how many touches Best can expect this week? If he gets 6-7 touches like last week he is useless, but if he somehow can manage 12-15, he might be an option for those of us who are desperate. Is last week a sign of things to come for the rest of the year? Curious to know.

Even if he gets 12-15, I believe he's hit the rookie wall. You'd be better off picking up Dimitri Nance and starting him.

I have to choose between Best, Maurice Morris, Reggie Bush and Snelling. Definitely not starting Best. Leaning towards Morris, possibly Snelling.

Seriously? The guy has been hurt since week 3. Has nothing to do with a rookie wall. He's got toe injuries on both feet. Pretty tough for a speed back.

I managed to trade him for Bradshaw prior to last week, but even if I still had him, there is no way that he would be touching my lineup this week. I would be going with Blount or even Beanie Wells over him.

After seeing last Sunday, probably won't roll again this year. He's got a huge future ahead. I wouldn't expect the Lions to risk his future (really wouldn't be shocked if he's shut down completely for the year soon). W/o the game breaking speed and cutting, he's not an asset.

Best hurt me today, and I don't even have him on my roster.

I picked up M. Morris last week, and had him in my starting lineup. When I heard Best was going to play today, I pulled Morris. (for Sproles or Hightower)

Has he played a down today? I thought I saw him in the backfield on one pass play, but I was too far away from the TV to be sure.

I'm also wondering if there's a chance he could come back and be effective in the playoffs if they gave him a couple weeks off.

wasn't paying great attention to the game, but I believe did line in the slot early on for a play.

Due to unheard of injuries my only two RB's on my squad are Thomas Jones and Best. I had to roll with him. After starting out 6-0 I'm struggling to be competative. And of course I just lost Nicks on my team. It hurts right now.

gah, stupid CBS had a note next to his name on their FF site saying he was "starting," so with my team decimated by injuries, I subbed him in for Derrick Mason. After one series, I knew I would come to regret that change....
