Anyone selling high on Forte? (1 Viewer)

What is his chances of duplicating what Lynch did last year? Their schedule is pretty weak I would think he could get to 1200 yds and 8 TDs, hate to sell high on him if he can really keep up the top 15 RB stats. I was offered a decent package for him, but if he's really this good it wouldn't be getting enough.

I think 1200 total and 8 is within reach. Here's the problem. Basically the Bears line right now is a hot-air balloon held together with duct-tape. One person goes down and they might have to bring someone up from the practice squad or start a rookie. That being said I was amazed at how good they and Forte looked against a top-notch team. The safe/smart play is to sell high for someone like BJ, or if you have a very nervous MJD/SJAX/Addai/Portis owner in your league. The risky play is to hold and hope for more of the same. It's not like he did it against the Lions or Rams (btw, they play Lions twice, so you got two huge games in the bag right there).

i'm presently trying to ship him for addai in the league i own him in. he had jamal, addai and turner last week and didn't fair well overall even with turner. i doubt it will go through but i figured i'd shoot for the sky with an offer.

I'd be selling if I owned him anywhere.
I was offered Brandon Marshall and C.Perry for Forte and Harrison. I'm thinking I should do it.

SJax & MJD? :lmao: Amazing how over-rated some of these guys are. Also I would be careful of Addai. Rhodes is definitely stealing his carries this year, Jax & Ten have very stout run Ds and the concussion may be a real problem.

Forte for Addai? Come on. I can't stand when owners offer me #### like that.
normally if i were playing with someone i didn't know personally i wouldn't offer something like that.but as seeing as some of my friends are panicky when their players don't perform early it was worth a shot. i don't believe it will go through and i would be amazed even if it did but as it's a friend of mine it's not that big a deal.

Given how good Forte and Harrison looked, and given Royal will take catches away from Marshall, that would be a real bad trade for you. Marshall may catch the same # of passes as Harrison....and no way Perry out produces Forte unless an injury strikes.

Bears homer here and I would sell. I would also see if you could still get in at the under on Bears wins (I think it was 7.5). Last week was the perfect storm for the offense and defense. Their O-Line is not good, their WRs are terrible, Orton is okay but only if all else is perfect. The defense is one injury away from a meltdown, and any team that can smack them in the mouth with a running game (CAR this week) will run all day. This team is not good. And the schedule is tough, too.

Forte may be a good prospect, but with this team he will have more 17-56, 3 catches for 18 yard type games than games with 100+ combined and a TD.

I would deal him if anyone was interested.

I shipped Forte to a guy really thin at RB for Larry Fitzgerald straight up. The rest of the league wasn't happy.

Rhodes got 2 carries and i'm pretty sure Addai wasn't diagnosed as having a concussion. He was actually cleared to re-enter the game.

I did my best to trade out of the #4 because I didn't like the guy, but after watching him play, I think he is the real deal. I wouldn't go trading Addai for him, but I think he is going to be a good one for quite a while.

I have under 8 huge. A win this week will really hurt as these were two road games I was counting on for losses.

Agreed, the Bears offensive talent is simply sub-par, and even though Forte is/will be a very good NFL running-back, his fantasy upside will be limited due to his surrounding talent. Nevertheless, the Bears offense could prove me wrong, but outside of the excellent TE's/Kruetz/Tait/Garza/Hester, I'm just no seeing much help for Forte. On the flip-side, if the Bears defense can stay healthy(namely Mike Brown, the clear vocal leader of that defense), they will force many three-and-outs, which should lead to more opportunities for Forte/Jones. I wouldn't even think of selling in a dynasty league, as Forte has the skills that will pay off down the line.

I got offered Forte for Portis so I countered with Randel El for Driver.
I would consider Forte for Portis if it was a PPR. Randel El for Driver is kind of a week counter.Edited to add why do you have a pic of Cathy Lee Gifford?

I sold him packaged with Lee Evans and got Lendale White/Reggie Wayne... I'm very happy with that.

Just traded Forte & McNabb this week for LT & Garrard. I don't believe Forte will keep putting up the numbers he did last week all season...just not conviced the Bears are that good.

Forte runs with good vision, balance, and strength, combined with nice footwork and decent speed.

He is on a team that by nature must be committed to running the ball - I am surprised so many want to dump him after one week :lmao:
