What will MJD's stats be against the the Colts this week?

My guess is 15 carries 75 yards 1 td

7 catches 82 yards 1 td

i think those are overly optimistic.

if he were the only back in JAX id say those are good #'s but taylor is still #1 there

as i said earlier i dont think there is a guy who does more with his few touches than MJD hes #14 rb with 125 touches! i expect 9 carries-54yds 1td

5 catches 53 yards 0td

I'm pretty sure I'm going to start him over either Dillon/Maroney. Against Mia...I think the NE run game will have a slow week.

I'll sign up for that.

I've been starting MJD since week 8 because I needed a spark with the injury to Shaun Axe.

Week 3 in Indy ... MJD's coming out party. I started Freddy that day, and was P!SSED to see this rook getting touches. Was Freddy hurt? NO. Jax went to no-huddle/shotgun for a decent portion of that game, and MJD got all of the love from that scenario.Ergo, I don't think the OP was overly optimistic ... more like "realistic".

I'm a Colts homer and I'm starting MJD in every league I own him (three).

The Colts' D seems determined to keep the player I own in more leagues than any other (Peyton Manning) off the field as much as possible. :wall:

I've been starting him for weeks now.

My other RBs: McGahee, Foster, J. Lewis

The kid finds the end zone on a regular basis. It feels risky to start him over a guy who will get 20-25 carries but it has proven to be riskier not to.

What are the expectations for F.Taylor?
I've started Freddy as my RB#3 (behind LT2 and Chester) all year. It seems as if Jax is limiting his touches to roughly 20 per game. So, expect 15-20 carries, with a couple of rec. thrown in. He's been good for an average of about 80 yds. per game ... but only 4 TD's through 12 games, as MJD doubles him in that category.

MJD is the #11 RB in my league in total points for the year and JAC has a real good matchup this week vs IND and next vs TEN so he'll be a starter for me for weeks 14 and 15. Even though he's behind Taylor on the depth chart he's getting the receptions and TD's.

MJD has scored in like 8 of the past 9 weeks or something like that.

He's insanely good.

He'll score against IND.

However, I'm debating stashing him on the bench for the first time in about two months because I have DeAngelo Williams and Ladell Betts.

I may put him at Flex, but I have solid receivers.... hard to bench him, especially since he's so exciting to watch.

Heh, notice I say "bench" not "start".

He's been putting up solid RB2 numbers for a while now....

His PPA is tops in the league (sorry LT).

In a league where I get points for return yards, he's been a must start and is averaging over 10points a game for the year. He's RB3 behind LJ and LT!!!

So yes, i'm starting him against the colts. I've gotten lucky with starting MBIII in his place the last two weeks....but he's the man on the stretch run.

gotta love the upgrade tidbit in this weeks email.

RB Maurice Jones-Drew, JAX - He is quietly having a great rookie season with limited carries in relief of Fred Taylor. He added another 46 rushing yards and a score on just 5 carries yesterday. He is currently the 15th best RB in fantasy points despite just 127 touches this season.

it's scary to think what the midget could do with 300 touches.

Exactly, did everyone already foget how J-Ville nearly beat Indy in Indianapolis by abusing their defense with Drew?

I'm starting him in my Flex spot at the moment (along with Gore and Alexander at RB).

I'd been starting him since about Week 5 until last week. I started Maroney and got burned. I'm sorry, Maurice, I'll never do that again!

I must admit, though, that I am strongly considering Betts, Barber III, and C. Taylor, in that order, over him.

I think I'll stick with Maurice Drew.

I have both MJD and Fred Taylor. Been starting Taylor just about every week while Tatum Bell was hobbled, and Jones-Drew outscored Taylor almost every week. Now Tater seems to be back... but I am seriously considering starting MJD over both of them in Week 14.

I'm expecting Indy to put up some points and for the Jags to be playing from behind. If Jacksonville falls behind... Taylor is almost non-existent in the offense. Since MJD is the 3rd down back and goalline back. The plan could totally back fire I guess if the Jags get out to a lead though.

I also have MDJ and Taylor and I am not for sure what to do. I have been starting Taylor all year just because I know he will consistently get 20 carries or so (and with LT as the #1, I just want decent RB#2 numbers). IIRC, Taylor was killing the Colts in the first half, they made adjustments and MDJ was the answer in the second half. I have won 7 of my last 8 and am hesitant to change now that the playoffs have started in my league.

Had both MJD and Fred, but traded MJD away a few weeks ago in a package to get Alexander. I'll be starting Fred as a flex this week, but I expect MJD to outscore him, especially if the game opens up.

i've started him in two leagues just about all year long - now he has a tasty matchup against a team he abused last time around.

what's there to think about?

I want to play him badly, but to put Tiki or LJ on the bench is very hard to do as well. Will debate it right to kickoff I am sure.

MJD is a guy you hate to sit. Nobody does more with so few touches. I can't even think of sitting LJ. I played Dillon last week but will sit him this week. Hard part is I have TJ and Benson. Hard to sit TJ with that matchup. I'm really, really on the fence, as I think MJD will have a good game - he just has a nose for the stripe and can hurt a team so many ways. Faulk Jr.

Start MJD Jaquars will get 250+ from him and taylor plus couple tds. Colts defense just are not tackling anybody.
