anyone starting Vick this weekend? (1 Viewer)

Tat

Has-been punter
After a week off, and playing @ home vs a suspect Giants D sounds like a good Sunday outing.

Anyone else starting him?

I start him whenever he isn't playing against an elite defense and I don't have a QB with a more attractive matchup.

his rushing numbers certainly seem to be better at home. could be he is just really comfortable on the turf in the Georgia Dome.

i am starting him over bulger....... :bag:
I am currently starting Bulger hoping for a shooutout @ home.Just curious, why are you starting Vick over Marc?
i see vick throwing for one and running for one......the giants have a suspect run D.....and i like his upside a little more. i think it will be close....but my league awards points for running QBs.
Passing D fine I'll give in, isn't too hot but their run D has been pretty stout thus far.

He's actually on the WW in one of my leagues, and I have Favre and Leftwich on byes. This league counts rushing and passing yards for QB's as only 1 pt. per 25 yards (for rb's and wr's = every 10 yds) = his value is down a bit. I still hipe to pick him up as late as possible on Sunday (dropping Leinart), and to drop him after the game to get Leinart back. That's my plan

League 1 Vick over Pennington and Delhomme

League 2 Vick over McNair (I had Warner and Leinart got drafted)

I'm a Jints fan and it pains me to start Vick against them but the Falcons own the Giants lately. I'm hoping for a shootout and a Giants victory.

The guys averaging nearly 20 FPG in my league, so unless there's someone on the bench named Manning, McNabb, or Palmer, he's a good start. He's starting over Delhomme for me.

It's amazing that this guy continues to put up solid fantasy #'s week after week, but is always seen as a marginal start.

Don't forget Grossman :lmao:BTW, I am also a huge giants fan who wants to start mcnair over vick but just can't bring himself to it

He is going in and if some of those Falcon receivers can hang onto th football he might just toss in a TD and run for one. This needs to be a shootout!

Maybe not a shootout, but an asswhoopin for sure.I don't know that I'd go with Vick over Bulger, but I don't really think you can go wrong with either... Vick shouldn't have a problem notching 100 and a score on the ground to go with his 100 and a score in the air.

:goodposting: I'm happy to have Vick as my No. 1 QB. Granted I'm sitting him this week because Grossman vs. the Cardinals looks pretty juicy, but in the long run I expect really good things from him.

My opponent will start him instead of P Manning, if he changes his lineup. Last week he started D Jackson and Shane Graham. If he lets the lineup ride J Addi also is starting.

Seeing as P Manning is on bye this week that might be wise.

Vick who?
The guy that's on pace to finish 5th in the league in rushing yards and add 2100 yards through the air and about 20 total TDs.That's about 300 fantasy points in standard scoring, which converted to pure passing equates to about 4500 yards and 30TDs.Did you know that's pretty good?

I don't get the debate here. If your league scores rushing yards and TDs for QBs anywhere close to what RBs get for the same, Vick is a top 5-8 QB. Except for injury risk, he is a QB1 in those leagues.

Vick as a QB1 is my goal in many leagues where he's been undervalued badly, and I get him a lot.

He's more consistent than people think regarding hitting certain levels of scoring production, and he doesn't have too many lcunker games due to his multiple ways of producing.

I'll start him most weeks, and almsot always at home. The good D vs. bad D really skews with him because he's different.

Manning is on a Bye. This will be the first time i will EVER start Vick..Never had him before and never wanted him really. Only week in his career i care what he does..

I traded D. Mason for Vick right before the Falcon's bye week - just so I could use him this weekend while Payton sits on my bench. I really like his match-up against a Giants pass rush that has a tendency to over-pursue and that attacks from the edges.

I've started him every week except his bye (obviously) and intend to keep starting him until I see some reason to stop. He has been money for me every week and, considering that I got him in the 11th round of my 12 team, $150.00 main league, I am pretty confident that he's this years SOD (in my league anyway). Remember a couple of years ago he was on the cover of every fantasy rag in the country. They let him play his type of game the year before and he put up great numbers. We are now back to that formula and it is paying dividends.

So far, Vick = :moneybag:

 I've got Vick and Delhomme, too. In a 10 team redraft, I took Delhomme in the 7th and Vick in the 10th. I started Delhomme in Week 1 just because I was "supposed" to start my "#1" guy, even though Steve Smith was out. Cost me the game :wall: . I consider Vick my starter now, especially this week with Delhomme at Baltimore. No brainer there.

starting him, as always.

a bit concerned b/c I think the Giants have the DEs to contain/put the smack down on Vick. Strahan isn't what he used to be but he's still solid. Osi is underrated as well, even after last year.

Our league gives 6pts for QB's who RUN for a TD...3 for passing..

PLUS...the Atlanta game is being shown in Hi-Def....Cincinnati's isn't...

I'm debating starting Vick over Palmer....

Please...take the gun out of my hand...

He is near the tops in fantasy football and yet still people question him. There are only a handful of QB's I would start over Vick right about now and that includes tough matchups. This should be an offensive showcase. Giants do have solid DE's but all that means is Vick will step up in the pocket and beep beep!! he is gone.
