Anyone tempted to start Weeden this week? (1 Viewer)

I'm in a 2 start QB league with Rodgers on the bye and not much available. Thinking I am going to roll the dice with Weeden as my #2 - ARZ apparnetly gives it up in the air and Dallas is at home.

Weeden didn't look to shabby in relief of Romo on Monday.

I think they will go to a run heavy game plan but he did look good last week and will probably be decent against

a poor ARI secondary.

Dez will have 73 targets if Weeden starts. As a Dez owner I like that, I'll take that volume.

He went through the walk through, its a bruise, not a break. Is Romo going to sit because he has a bruise? The panic here is overwhelming at times.

I still love Dez if Weeden plays and think you will see an under performing Murray for the first time this year tomorrow either way. Cards are going to load box and blitz all the time, maybe every play. They will make the stiff Romo or back up QB Weeden beat them through the air.

He could toss a screen to Murray and he can do the rest for him, same on a bubble to Dez. So I would say 275 and 2 with 1 INT.

Romo owner in redraft with Hoyer as my backup. I had to drop Manziel for Weeden and will start him if Romo is a no go.

ARI's given up the 7th most points to QBs so far this year but they've been high variance, giving up stat lines like 173/0/0 to Carr and 479/4/2 to Peyton. I wouldn't feel comfortable starting Weeden but could understand it if you were in a pinch. The thing is, Romo was just a middling QB2 on a PPG basis so it's not like Weeden is being thrust into a high octane passing offense.

That's why I was so upset when your franchise took Manzeil. It's hard for players to overcome after they get accustomed to losing. Weeden may suck, but he'll suck less in a Cowboys Uni.

players that play badly for the browns don't go elsewhere and play better, they continue to suck until they wash out of the league.

I am in the same boat. Own Romo and Weeden is the only game in town, no other starters in my 12 team league available on the waiver wire - but I really don't feel that uncomfortable starting him by default.

I don't think Weeden cares what jersey he wears, he just sucks in general. I had to watch him in too many games and he isn't a starting QB in this league. He's like a statue and stares down his one target. He gives the defense plenty of time to adjust and get to him for a sack or pick-off. Just nothing there to be excited about. Sorry the Dallas faithful had to learn it the hard way.
