Anyone think Rodney Harrison puts up big #'s? (1 Viewer)

Okay, he's 34 and gets hurt lately but if this guy is healthy he is probably a top 5 DB in tackle heavy leagues. He usually goes for over 100 total tackles and just makes plays. Anyone think he can put up big numbers this year. He is on the WW but if healthy I think he finishes in top 12 for scoring and just wondering if I should grab him.

In his last healthy year, 2004, he had 94 solos and 44 assisted tackles which is outrageous, not to mention 3 sacks, 2 INT's and a handful of PD's. Those tackles numbers would even put him as a top LB.

Maybe, but Sean Jones is the new Rodney Harrison for me.

Who do you have that Rodney would be an upgrade?

I'm a big Harrison fan but, from what I saw last year, the knee injury and natural erosion of skills with age will keep him from ever reaching his prior levels of production. His knee injury was more than just the typical ACL, so I'm not optimistic that he'll have that second season post-injury return to previous level of play that we sometimes see.No reason he can't have DB3 starters value but I think expecting top 20 numbers would be a stretch.

I think that you'll also see more of Merriweather at SS giving Harrison some plays off as the season goes on.

I think it's much more likely that Meriweather will compete with Eugene Wilson for the starting free safety job. James Sanders seemed to do pretty well at SS last year.

I don't think I'd roster James Sanders over Rodney Harrison.

I say pick up Harrison and hope he stays healthy.

(I wish he was on the waiver wire in any of my 4 IDP leagues)
