Anyone thinking of benching Tom Brady this week? (1 Viewer)

My only QB is Tom Brady but I am thinking of hitting the waiver wire and benching Brady this week against the Bills. Bill's have the 2nd best pass defense based on my leagues scoring against QB's. Brady is dinged up and looked terrible last week. Randy Moss is having flashbacks to his days in Oakland and I assume the weather will be crap in Buffalo. Kyle Orton is sitting on the waiver wire and is looking very tempting. But how do bench Brady who could single handedly win me my plaoff game?

Week 1 at home against the Bills: Tom Brady -- 39 for 53 for 378 yards passing, 2 TD passes, 1 INT, 1 rush for 9 yards

I think rolling the dice with Brady this week is better than what the waiver wire likely has to offer

:excited: Brady or Garrard for me. Who is Jacksonville playing? Nevermind, I made my decision before I even looked up who Jacksonville is playing. It's Brady for me.

Yes, but not really fair answer, since it's for A. Rodgers.

I would probably start Brady over most Waiver wire fodder.

Is it possible that the Bills pass D is rated so highly because their run D is so poor?
Of course it's possible. Patriots lit them up earlier. You sit brady for a WW QB you are crazy. If your sitting him for Mcnabb, romo or another really good fantasy Qb, then fine.

Sitting him for McNabb in one league (FU Mike Vick). Not a reach.

Sitting him for Hasselbeck in another (craptastik Tampa flying all the way to Seattle). A bit of a reach, but I don't like Brady's matchup at all, and Seattle plays much better at home.

100% agree.I am in the same boat at the original post and have no one else to go to unless I pick up Henne or Cassel or Redman or some other stiff. I benched Brady earlier this year when he as playing in bad NE weather earlier this year after a bad game vs Denver and he threw for 6 TDs. Won't make that mistake again unless I read that he is really hurting.

I do. Also check out their schedule. They haven't played many good passing offenses this season. I count three top passing attacks. That's it. They did a great job on Brees but Brady lit them up in the first meeting and Schaub threw for over 265 yards on them too.

Whats funny is Brady is a genius under center and can go off at anytime....

So anyone and I mean anyone who tells me they are benching Brady in the playoffs cuz of a bad stretch just dont watch football and understand fantasy ball.

Next thing you'll tell me is to bench Brady cuz of bad weather, cuz we have never seen him throw 6 tds in that white fluffy stuff.

He was checking down a lot last week, after all he prob was not up to complete game speed with his wife giving birth and all! :stalker:

Brady is not an average QB, and should never be benched no matter what the reason! :lmao:

I think Buffalo has just played a lot of crappy QBs. They did keep Brees down but the Saints were pounding it pretty effectively that game. Brady tore them up and I think Schaub did decently also.

Benching Brady based on the matchup for someone like Orton is way overcoaching.

I hope you're right... My opponent this weekend is doing exactly this!

A few more emoticons might have helped...I hope Brady blows. I play against him.
