Anyone trade for Alexander (1 Viewer)

Traded for him 3 weeks ago with a team that was 0-4 and he had to win. I had Morris.

Alexander for B.Edwards/Maroney

Caused some controversey as my team looks fairly stacked for the playoff run.

I traded Thomas Jones and my first round pick for next year for SA. My team is extremely stacked for the playoff run.

QB - Hasslebeck

QB - Brady

RB - Rudi Johnson

RB - Shaun Alexander/Maurice Morris

RB - Willis McGahee

WR - Andre Johnson

WR - Roy Williams

WR - Reggie Wayne

WR - Terrell Owens

Similar situation. SA owner was winless and needed immediate help.I was 5-1 and can coast a bit.I gave Chester Taylor and Driver for Alexander and Larry Fitz.
 
Last week I traded Maroney and Bryant Johnson for Alexander.

SA owner is 5-1 but had bye week problems.

His loss, my gain!

I traded him straight up for Boldin last week. I have Westbrook, Parker and Tatum Bell at running back but jack squat for receivers.

 
I traded Willis McGahee straight up for him 3 weeks ago and put him on my injured reserve, which is a 3 week minimum stay. His owner offered this trade because he was slow out of the gate (1-3) but not really hurting. People in my league filled our message board with cries of IDIOT.

I haven't won much since the trade, to be honest, but am probably gonna be 3-4 after this week and that's good enough for 3rd place in my division.

My playoff roster (should) be:

QB Bulger

RB LJ

RB Alexander

WR Holt

WR Burress

WR Driver, Colston

etc

Looks good to me if I can wait this thing out and actually get there!

 
I've been wanting to trade he and a WR for Steve Smith and Ronnie Brown, but haven't figured out which WR so I have yet to make an offer.

I also considered offering he and Berrian for Reggie Bush and Hines Ward, but I just can't commit to that. Despite being a keeper league and the fact that I like Bush, I hate the thought of SA tearing it up in our playoffs and me not benefitting.

The trade was vetoed by the league and both members are still pissed.

 
While some of the trades sound a bit weak, anyone willing to take a chance on SA at this point is TAKING A CHANCE. . .the hawks just havent looked good, and SA has been out of the game. . . .getting Chester or McGahee right now is pretty fair considering all 3 have good schedules but only 2 are healthy. . . .

Granted I turned down McGahee straight up the last 2 weeks, but that has more to do with fear than anything. . .I'm thinking about offering Gore or McGahee or even S Jax for him in my other league and going for the gold. . . .could bite me in the ### a little, but I think I could afford to take a hit ar RB with those 3 on the roster.

All about upside right?

They should be pissed, sounds like a league of crybabies.I should mention there was quite a bit of #####in when I made the trade. So being the good commish that I was I told everyone that had a top 10 back (I had Chester was #11) that I would offer a straight up trade so they can get Shaun Alexander and if they didn't take it to shut the piehole.Westbrook = I have himLT = I have himLJ = rejectedPortis = rejectedBarber = rejectedGore = rejectedRonnie Brown = rejectedFWP = rejectedStephen Jackson = rejectedK Jones = didn't offer, I'm not drinking the :banned:Bottom line is people will #####, but that doesn't mean that they have the nuts to trade for the guy.

In a non-PPR league a few weeks ago I was offered SA for my McGahee & E Manning. I considered it since I've never made the playoffs in that league and while I have depth (McGahee, K Jones, S Jackson, T Bell, McNabb, E Manning, B Roeth) I don't have much top line quality.

I ended up turning it down and the guy ended up trading away SA for Tiki plus a top 6 rookie pick next year (we use a non-weighted library so it could be 1.01 through 1.06).

This was before Tiki announced his intention to retire.

Personally I am not a big fan of aging workhorses who start to break down, although admittedly a foot is better than a knee.

 
traded Rudi for Alexander, 12 team dynasty league, 1 pt per reception. After seeing how much Perry played first game back last week, i'm happy with the decision.

traded SA for Eli in a 12 team redraft. my QBs were McNair and the TB QB. Needed help and at 1-5 can't wait for SA to get healthy.

 
Traded EJames two weeks ago for SA. I had Morris.

Owner was 1-4 at the time and needed a starter. EJames hadn't shown the true suckiness of the Cards line yet.

No, easily the best FFL team I've ever had and have been playing 10+ years. Been very lucky. Here is how I got them:Vick, Favre, L.T., Westbrook, Coles, McMichael, Turner from our auction

Alexander / Momo = traded chester taylor (Favre was part of it, but I did draft him originally)

Chambers = traded TJ Housh and Muhammed for him

Wayne = part of package deal for Bush / Troy Williamson (before he sucked)

Gould = free agent

Bears = traded SD Def and Ben Watson to a guy with no decent TE

 
Just prior to week 6 I traded Deuce and Keyshawn for SA and DJax.

At the time Deuce was the #4 RB and Key was the #4 WR in our league...

I was pretty happy about the whole thing until Hass went down...

 
In a standard scoring league with PPR I traded A. Boldin and D. Foster for SA. I had the 3rd pick in the draft and took LT2 so I will be running both those guys together in a start 2 RB redraft league once SA gets healthy.

I traded McGahee for Alexander straight up this past week. Alexander owner was 1 and 6. Essentially I sacrificed the week and was stuck starting Rhodes. And the unimpressive Portis.

 
Last week I traded Peyton Manning and Willis McGahee (Willis is 24th ranked back in my league) for Shaun Alexander and T.J. Houshmanzadeh.

 
I got Rudi J and Braylon Edwards for SA and Cotchery. I lost 3 in a row (losing Trent Green & Matt Jones & SA was just too much). somehow i am 3-4 though and just praying to get david carr for edwards

 
16 team dynasty league trade I made just a half hour ago....

and rec'd: SA/Momo/Brady/Cassell/Darrent

Dealt SA for T.Bell and J.Horn prior to Week 7 games. Team started slow so needed wins now. With Hasselback's injury feeling better about decision every day :)

 
I am 1-6 in a keeper league, just got offered SA for three of my top four guys:

I give: S. Jackson, T. Owens, W. Dunn

My only other guy who is worth keeping for next year (3 player keeper) is A. Gates. I laughed at the dude that made the offer.

 
Im 5-2 and the SA owner is 1-6.

I gave Thomas Jones and Javon Walker

I got SA and Michael Clayton

My playoff team is pretty sweet now (Chester is my other RB)

Yeah, he's the king of the bad offer.
 
I was 4-0 and the SA owner was 0-4. As soon as SA got hurt, I picked up Mo Morris. I offered up Mo Morris & D. Mason for Harrison. He said no. He countered with SA, Harrison, & Lundy for Mason, R.Bush, & Maroney. I was fine with this as it left me with the following team.

QB: McNabb, Kitna

RB: SJackson, CTaylor, SA, Morris, Jones-Drew, Lundy

WR: Harrison, Chambers, Clayton

TE: Colston (yes it's a Yahoo league), Cooley

K: Wilkins

DEF: SD

Once SA comes back in 2 weeks, he'll be my flex player with SJax & Taylor at RB. I'm currently 7-0.

What really helped me was the surprising TD's from Jones-Drew. He was my last pick in my draft is paying off very nicely.

I am 7-0 : offered Eli and addai, they countered with Eli and KJ, I rejected. I will stick with LJ and KJ for the playoffs and Eli over vick who would have been the replacement qb on my bench

 
Just got SA for T. Bell/Colston, 12 team 1 man keeper, I have S. Smith(keeper), Holt, and Driver so Colston would just sit. RB's now are Parker, Taylor/Drew, SA, Norwood and MBIII.

 
Just completed ... I got SA+Michael Turner for MJD+Javon Walker. I'm 6-1, he's 3-4. Same old story, he needs to win now, I can wait it out.

 
Only went about 1/2 way down the page but these trades look laughable IMO. Desperation from SA owners?

I offered Dunn for SA. Similar situation I guess; he needs help NOW and I'm "stacked" at RB (assuming Portis isn't still singing soprano that is).

 
I just offered FWP for SA. I like SA's schedule and I'm a lock for the playoffs already.
