Anyone trading Finley? (1 Viewer)

I traded him. Had to since I sucked in my draft. Have Gates and Finley and Gates were my only trade bait.

I gave Finley, Mike Bell and Leon Washington

I got Marion Barber, Tolbert and M Lynch

Only had 2 RBs on my roster so it was a trade out of necessity. I gave the best player but got depth at my weakest position

ETA: Non Dynasty

After Week 2, I tried to trade Finley for Dallas Clark in one league (redraft). But it was rejected.

Maybe I should try again since Finley is coming off a good game and Clark is coming off a rare sub-par game.

I think u gave finley up too easily hes easily worth at least a rb2 u got :goodposting:

Well Clark was bracketed and doubled in that game but then even when Finley is double covered I think he's open. :goodposting:
 
Got a Ray Rice/Best owner in my PPR league with no viable #3RB. Offered him his choice of Jamal Charles or Bradshaw with Mike Thomas as a throw for Finley and got rejected.

So to answer the question no I'm not trying to trade him, I'm trying to trade for him.

 
redraft league... I desperately need a WR2... I have this trade waiting for the commish to decide the fate of... Finley for Collie and Keller

I wasn't going to but I was offered a soul for him from a very pious individual, along with Gates and some filler.

Quantity <> QualitySo many injuries and turnover at RB would think you could do just as well with the waiver...

 
I think Finley should return somebody like Forte or Bradshaw at RB. You could almost get somebody like Calvin or Fitz at this point too.

Traded Finley for Fitz last week. Definitely made sense since guys like Moeaki are on the WW. The Mega owner was also interested. The post above is absolutely correct in predicting his value (non dynasty)

12 team, I'm almost certain I could get Megatron or Jennings for him as the other owner has metioned it. With DET on the schedule this week I figure what's the rush.

Fair point. Im not going to bore everyone with what my lineup was vs is but I am much happier right now with the deal i made.
 
I got Finely!!!!!!!!

Had to give up Hernandez, S. Smith (south) and Thomas Jones

BigBen, Finley and Slaton (who'll prob get dropped ASAP)

ETA: I started trade talks with the guy just to get BigBen as the only other QB on my roster is Eli

Unless someone offered me Gates (and I'd have to give up something) or one of the other top TEs in a package deal, I don't see doing it. TE is an interesting position as it would be difficult for me to replace his production week to week without getting one of the top TEs, and in that case what is the impetus to trade?

If I were really hurting at another position then I could see the value.

 
I was offered Rodgers, Austin and CJ2 for him. Obviously I turned it down. I would rather lose with Finley than win without him.

 
No and No.

I keep thinking someone is going to come after him in the leagues I own him in, but no one has yet.

I haven't made any offers to try to get him in leagues I do not. I have capable TE's that are preforming admirably right now.

Most people haven't gone after a Finley owner because chances are he was a semi-reach in the draft to begin with and most Finley owners are going to be asking an arm and a leg. Realistically, I can probably go after the Gates owner and get him for considerably less.

I can see that. Thing is, I own both Finley and Gates, so I thought somebody would come after Finley. I didn't reach for him - 8th round. I wouldn't ask for anything but fair market value either - draft position has nothing to do with trade value. Oh well, he looks real nice on my bench for a bye week fill-in. I haven't even started him yet and as long as Gates keeps doing what he's doing, I don't think I will until I have to.
 
I see him getting better as the team blocks better. He cramped up last week and is working out to eliminate that problem.

I see him scoring more.

I gave up Maclin, Heath Miller, Justin Tuck and a late 1st round pick for him in a dynasty with very friendly TE and DE scoring. Yeah i gave up a lot and know it.

 
You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't pull the mask off that ol' Lone Ranger and you don't trade Jermichael Fin (ley).

I traded FOR Finley this week, giving up McFadden and Dustin Keller.

Problem for you is they both have a week 10 bye.

 
Yeah....that slipped my mind while discussing these guys.....I'll still hold them both until getting an offer for either.......and I'll pick up a TE to use week 10. Thanks for catching that.

 
just traded Nicks/Clayton for J.finley/Garcon in a league I was deep at wr.. My starting 3 still look like this

Maclin... now finley will really make my starting line up look good... I have Mccoy,bradshaw starting backs and ryan at qb

Traded FOR Finley prior to last week in a dynasty league.

I gave Nicks + Zach Miller (OAK), I got Finley + Golden Tate.

I admit, I think I was selling high on Nicks after his first 2 games, although this trade could go either way.

Still have Miles Austin, Ochocinco, and Steve Smith (Car) at WR, so Nicks was honestly my WR4 most weeks anyway...
