Due to his injury, I wondered if anyone was trying to buy low on him and if so, what you had to give up.
I have tossed around the idea because I have some depth at RB and I think the Barber owner might be willing to bend over a little.....although any of us who have had an injury similiar to this, whether playing softball or whatever, know that this injury lingers and is very easy to re-strain.....I know they get better treatment then we do, but even when he comes back, he might baby it for awhile.........and if Barber doesn't go full speed, head down, it really changes his game...

have been accused of "raping" a few guys in the past in a few trades.....so now it's, who will the ref bend over this year...?I have tossed around the idea because I have some depth at RB and I think the Barber owner might be willing to bend over a little.....although any of us who have had an injury similiar to this, whether playing softball or whatever, know that this injury lingers and is very easy to re-strain.....I know they get better treatment then we do, but even when he comes back, he might baby it for awhile.........and if Barber doesn't go full speed, head down, it really changes his game...![]()
Really? Royal for Barber?I'd think twice about submitting that offer.packersfan said:The Barber owner in my league is loaded at RB but very weak at WR. I've been considering offering Royal for Barber. He'd probably turn that down (I would if I was him) but his WRs are awful and I know he liked Royal a lot before the start of the season. The only thing is I don't need another RB so I'm not sure I want to make the offer.
You don't like it from my perspective? I'm not going to make the offer because I can afford to be patient with Royal but I'm not feeling very confident he's going to do well. I think Barber, if healthy, will do quite well.Really? Royal for Barber?I'd think twice about submitting that offer.packersfan said:The Barber owner in my league is loaded at RB but very weak at WR. No. I think it is a ridiculous offer that would get rejected the minute the guy read it.You don't like it from my perspective? Pretty sure I said he would turn it down and I would too so I'm not sure I see the point of your post. That said, given how his WR1 is Donnie Avery, he's hurting in a big way at WR and Royal - assuming he believed he could still have value - would represent a potentially big upgrade.No. I think it is a ridiculous offer that would get rejected the minute the guy read it.You don't like it from my perspective? :( The other guy got hosed.Great deal for whoever received Palmer-ThomasJust made a deal for himalmer + ThomasforOrton + Barber
I just don't believe in proposing ridiculous trades. I can't see how Royal would be an upgrade over anyone. That Denver passing game is horrendous, and Royal is not going to have anything close to the year he had last year. I just think offering a guy who has 5 receptions for 38 yards and no TD's for Barber, who by all accounts if having a very good year (over 200 yards and 2 TDs) is just a bit lame. Sure, Barber got hurt, but there is just no way anyone is going to trade him for Royal right now, and proposing it makes you look bad.Pretty sure I said he would turn it down and I would too so I'm not sure I see the point of your post.
