This Dexter McCluster from Ole Miss is putting on an all time great college performance against a pretty good Tenn DEF. With a quarter to play he has 303 combined rushing and receiving yards and 4 TD's. He looks like Chris Johnson to me and not just because of the hair...lol.

They really underused him in the first half of the season. When they give him the touches he puts up big numbers.

I think the CJ comparison is decent because they have a similar lean when they run, but CJ just has a different gear. McCluster is fast, but I don't think he's 4.24 fast.

I do however think he's a good football player who will be heavily debated leading up to the draft because of his size. Personally I think he has what it takes to be a playmaker on Sunday.

McCluster is a great running back, but there are definitely some major differences between him and Johnson.

For starters, McCluster is quick like CJ, but nowhere near as fast as far as top end speed goes. Also, McCluster is 5'7" 170lbs, compared to Johnson's 5'11" 200.

The way McCluster made his cuts at seemingly full speed and looked to be playing at a different speed than everyone else made me initially think of CJ until I realized that CJ is 30 lbs heavier, 4 inches taller, runs a blistering 4.2, and looks like he plays at a different speed than everyone ON SUNDAYS. McCluster is more Darren Sproles than Chris Johnson. McCluster runs a mid 4.3 which is great in its own right. But, There is only one Chris Johnson.

I think Sproles is the right comparison. Sproles was a monster in college too. McCluster has a much smaller body than MJD or even Kevin Faulk. Return guy, COP/3rd down back at the NFL level.

He's kicking LSU's rear today though.

If you believe the listed weights McCluster is 15 pounds lighter than Sproles. He's Dante Hall small.
