Anyone worried about Daryl Richardson? (1 Viewer)

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch cautions to "keep an eye on" Daryl Richardson (foot) in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Cowboys.

Advice: Per beat writer Jim Thomas, Richardson "did very little" in practice on Friday. He also had his foot in a walking boot Wednesday. Sunday could be an opportunity for Isaiah Pead to close the gap on Richardson in the St. Louis backfield. Richardson is merely just a weak flex option against Dallas this week. He hasn't impressed as a runner, though he has made plays as a receiver.
That was on his blurb attached to a link on yahoo fantasy...

worrying about both him and Wallace right now (as I don't have an afternoon option for Wallace)...and don't really trust Starks in a PPR today...but don't know.

I caved and took him out for Trent, but I have been looking for any possible reason to start Trent all week, and I found it.

Yes, I'm worried. With a good foot he hasn't done all that much. With a bad foot he should be on the bench.

Week 1 was tough matchup and week two the Rams were behind by a lot. Richardson has some blow-up games coming if he stays healthy. It should be noted that he is getting a ton of work. The only question I'd have is whether he can handle this sort of high usage.

Foot was hurt during week 1.
Ok, that may explain part of his lack of success on the ground. I don't like the Rams rushing attack as a whole. Bradford will continue to throw a ton.
He was doing well in that first week before the injury. He has definitely been slowed down since then.
Yup, hasn't been the same since 2nd half of the first week.

how do leagues handle this? imo, very bs if someone started drich and didnt know he wasnt playing. if they have someone they can sub for him in 4pm or night games i would let em.

thoughts? i think this will be a big issue today & tomorrow.

It`s not like he was a healthy scratch...he was hurting all week...thats why i didnt take a chance and start him...i think it falls on the owner....just gotta eat the goose egg

It said he was probable and fine. Sure there are now some reports showing he wasnt but most said he wasnt. This is a major suprise and a bs way to lose a matchup. I think all drich owners have a gripe

big difference between questionable and "fully practiced and is probable". That said, there's no real around these things in fantasy.

I guess with Saffold inactive they had an extra spot and just kept him active. Weird decision. Glad I benched him in one league, but I suffered the bagel in another.

That's fantasy football. Happens all the time. There is nothing to be done.

:lmao:

Twitter rules. My opponent scored a nice 0 from drich after keeping him in with pos pregame reports.

I should have been allowed to sub in for Lacy last week too since he got concussed on his first carry.

Or Starks today...since I don't like his 5 points, I should be able to sub in someone from a late game to flex at that spot.

Rotoworld said he aggravated the injury after one snap - so he did play, just not much...
Rams running backDaryl Richardson ruined a lot of Fantasy owners in Week 3 when he played just one snap against the Cowboys and finished with no stats. But that one snap proved costly.

Richardson came into the game battling a foot injury, and he got his foot stepped on, forcing him out of the game. And now it's time to keep him reserved in the majority of leagues.

Even with the positive pregame reports, I decided not to take the chance. You win some, you lose some. In the same week, I also decided not to take a chance on Josh Gordon, and, well...yeah.

I will say this.....stuff like this with Richardson helps make a compelling argument for best ball leagues

Sirius' "analyst" (aka a fan who happened to become a fantasy "expert" by being in the right place at the right time) around noon mentioned the STL Post-Dispatch's beat writer's blurb...so there were little warnings.

What clinched me starting Trich was Stacy being inactive. I took that as a signal that they werent all that concerned with TRich. Oops. You will not find me wasting my commish's time about it; the thought would never enter my head. I wear big-boy undies, made the wrong call, and will survive this "unfair" (sarcastic) ordeal.
