Anyone worried about your Arizona players next week? (1 Viewer)

They've clinched their division which guarantees them a home wildcard game but they cannot overtake the 1 or 2 seeds.

They really have nothing to play for other than pride and momentum.

Any hard data on teams in this sort of situation?

The only Cardinal I have is Boldin and he's been held under 70 yards and without a score for three straight weeks. Resting him could hardly make him less valuable to me than he's already been, lately. Hell, if Wisenhunt would just go and make the announcement, I could put someone in and be done with it, rather than sticking Boldin in and hoping he reverts back to his old self week after week.

Given the way they've played lately and the fact that they haven't beaten any good teams, I would think KW will have these guys going all out to get ready for the playoffs, at least in week 16.

I don't have Arizona players. but I'll answer

No need to worry. They will play next week and play hard. Arizona has been playing like crap and needs to get momentum before the playoffs.

The Giants wrote the blue print last year against the Patriots.. petal to the metal until you are eliminated. I think many teams will follow that (especially in week 16)

Now, if a team has an injury that may change... but for a team playing porrly. there would be no logical reason to mail it in until the playoffs

Start your Cardinals with as much confidence you have had in them

I remember last year when the NYGs had nothing to play for when NE came to town and they played very hard. I don't know how much this would play into Zona's situation but I can't see them not playing hard to win the game if anything to stay sharp and not get complacent going into the playoffs.

I agree with the above sentiment. After getting absolutely smoked yesterday, I don't see how Whisenhunt lets them coast next week, or likely even week 17.

Not sure about Week 17, but after getting jacked by the Vikings on their homefield, can't see Whisenhunt putting his team on cruise control against New England.

while they cannot get the 1 or 2 seed, they still could be the 3 seed so it isn't like they have nothing to play for

that said, i agree with the sentiment that there is no question we will see a full effort in week 16 at the very least

it should be noted that at 4289 passing yards with 2 games to play, it is certainly possible that Warner will attempt to average 355.5 passing yards in the final two games (that's a lot, but Warner has the tools to do it)

Sine they have clinched the NFC West, they have also clinched at leats the #3 seed.

they could be the 4th seed if the North winner has the same record (Minnesota) or a better record

I'm not worried about the Cardinals getting benched.

I'm worried about them travelling 3,000 miles and playing in cold, miserable conditions against a Pats team still fighting for their own division. Hoping it's not Jets game part II

Noted. But what does this really buy them other than home field should they meet up with Minnesota in the playoffs (which would be unlikely IMHO)?Nothing really. However I am encouraged by the overwhelming board sentiment that they will go all out anyway.

if they get out of the wild card round and win their 2nd playoff game, it potentially buys them a home playoff game in the NFC Championship game if the team with a bye (who they don't play) ends up losing ... i am not saying it is a HUGE incentive, but that they still have something to play for (albeit not a ton)i definitely think they will play hard for week 16 at the very least

When they traveled to play at Washington and Philadelphia, they also played two fairly bad games.

Boldin needs 11 catches for 100 on the year, & Fitz needs 12 more for the same.

.... i say they try & get them both up to at least 100 receptions over the next two weeks.
