Some fun facts http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2013/11/dominant_detroit_lions_run_def.html

The Lions currently rank fourth in the NFL, allowing opponents to average just 88 rushing yards per game. Over the past two months, the unit has been historically good. Detroit hasn't allowed a rushing touchdown in 30 consecutive quarters, something the franchise hasn't accomplished since at least 1950 according to STATS LLC. The Lions have also not allowed an opponent to rush for more than 62 yards in five consecutive games. Collective, ball carriers are averaging just 1.9 yards per carry during that stretch.

99 yards last time they met.

I think 70-80 plus 1 TD today

Flynn will do enough with the WR's to keep Det from stacking the box

I am a little worried, but I have hope that Flynn will continue to involve him in the passing game like last week. Rodgers and Flynn both used him in that regard, Tolzien didn't. Should hopefully help his PPR numbers.

I am concered as well.. It is just really tough to actually bench Lacy. i actually have decent options too.. but in 1/2 pt PPR.. i am still playing Lacy, Forte and CJ and leaving vareen on the bench.. very tempted to play vareen because of this matchup for lacy.. I honestly do not see big upside, but think GB will move ball well enough to give him a few cracks at the end zone

thinking 16-45, 1td .. and another 4-22 or so receiving

i'd be more concern because either a) packers get down by a lot early and need to pass a lot b) the lions secondary is trash c) cant bench him though

I am worried. Even though he had a decent game in week 5, Forte had a great game in week 4 and got stonewalled a couple weeks ago. Defenses can improve and play better and they are definitely playing better now.

Not a WDIS, but to give you guys a gauge of what I am pondering in a 2RB, 2WR, 1Flex scenario PPR. Peterson and Bryant are locks and Vereen is also a lock at the flex or could be slotted at RB instead of Lacy. The three guys I am pondering are Garcon, Bowe and Floyd. Garcon is pretty much a lock for WR2, so I am thinking about Vereen at RB2 and Bowe/Floyd at flex because they have great matchups. Bowe and Floyd have both been around 15 ppgs lately and with their great matchups, I think 15 is attainable for both. For Lacy to get that, he would need say 70 yards rushing, 0.5 TDs and 3-20 receiving. I think the TD is a possibility, because he just needs the opportunity. Remember the Giants game? The Giants (outside of receiving totals) had been pretty strong against the run in their winning streak and stuffed Lacy, but he got a short TD opportunity and that saved his fantasy day. Lacy has a much greater TD opportunity than either Bowe/Floyd.

The only thing that is making me think Lacy is that RBs have averaged 5 receptions per game over the last 6 weeks. When Flynn came in last week, he threw 6-48 to Lacy in just the 4th quarter, so Lacy could have a great receiving game this week. Also, that was only in 3 drives where Green Bay scored 2 TDs and 1 FG to tie the game, so they were effective and most likely be called again.

I think I just talked myself into keeping Lacy in the lineup because he should get enough touches and receptions and a better shot at a TD. Even if he goes 20-50 rushing, he just needs 0.5TD and 4-30 receiving to get to 15 and I think that is very attainable. Tough call.

Look at last week. Lacy got a ton of his points when they were way down. The dump off passes were very effective and kept 3 scoring drives going.

The Schwartz just said that Last time they played GB had more weapons that they had to focus on. With the injuries to Cobb, Rodgers and Finley they will focus more attention on Lacy.

I expect a below average day.

If you own him, you're starting him. I can't imagine 20 other backs I'd want in his place regardless of matchup. But expectations should probably be tempered. What would help is if they used him in the passing game more like last week.

I'm hoping for 70 yds and a td on the ground with an extra 30-40 receiving.

I am. You have to be concerned about anyone playing the Lions. They have players on their defense that love to give cheapshots and play dirty. Someone could end up getting hurt, and it's often a player that touches the ball most (QB, RB). Hopefully Lacy and the rest of the Packers finish the game healthy.

Starting Vereen and Forte over him in PPR

Eta- May put him in at flex, though Harvin and Garçon have more upside

I am worried, as well.

I am also worried about losing my hair.

No matter what Lacy does today, he can't stop me worrying about that.

Thanks for nothing, o happy day.

Sticking w/ Lacy, no palatable alternative for me anyway. IF PT wasn't @ Seattle this week, or IF Ridley hadn't fumbled away his Patriots career, I might have considered one of them instead

Predictably, Lacy is being run into a brick wall. 1st offensive play they have a 20 yd screen pass to lacy, and for some reason, nothing since, plus Flynn ignoring him on check-downs, forcing the ball downfield or taking sacks. SMH

I'm worried now after that first half.

Flynn just holding the ball way too long! Getting sacked and in 3rd and long situations.

Can GB run anywhere but up the middle with Lacy? Try going away from Suh's side McCarthy! :topcat:

Meh, Packers are going to steamroll them.
Great call, your team completely blows.

For those of you who started Lacy............ha!
Hurtful. They do though. Wow I don't think I've seen then stink this bad since the Blair Kiel era.
