*** APEX LEGENDS *** - ̿ ̿ ̿̿’̿’\̵͇̿̿\=(•̪●)=/̵͇̿̿/’̿̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ (2 Viewers)

I installed this weekend. It is so hard to learn to play, when you die in 15 seconds and have to wait 5 mins to play another game
Are you talking that you die right away, but the team goes for a little bit and you are watching them for 5mins?

All I can say is there is a learning curve with these battle royale games, and it does get better.  I am pretty sure I didn't log my first kill until I was at level 10.

Also, no surprise, but there are also multiple videos that pop up as far as trying to avoid being 3rd partied, and where natural bottlenecks are in the maps.  I haven't watched any of those yet, but might soon.

I will also see if there is one on locating enemies during battle.  ;)

When the #### is going down?

I mean I THINK I am getting better at locating where the action is on the map.  When we are chatting, we seem to be on a similar page on where the shooting is coming from and before we are there I THINK I am seeing the enemies in the distance better with the new setup.  My problem is when we get there and start running around and shooting, I seem to be slightly off from where you guys are, and lose track of where the enemies are.   IE that one fight in Airbase where I was up on the building and had 0 clue where the team was.  I was peeking down over the edge constantly and didn't see a soul.

ive been starting to go wide when we engage, hit them from a few angles, easier to spot them that way for me. i also look to see where you guys are and watch for bullet trails

Same. I tend to swing around or avoid first contact so I know where all three guys are before heading in

working on flanking and sneaking up behind them when doing building fights
I get that, but usually around the buildings is where I lose track of people on different floors, etc.  I guess that's why I started using Bloodhound to begin with, but I need to get better at knowing where they are with other characters.

Usually it just feels like you guys saying "cracked",  "really hurt",  "on that ledge", etc.. while I run around wondering wtf you guys are talking about.

Even the one we one last night, I know you guys said they were on the cliff, but I was slightly behind you so for about 30 secs I was looking at a completely different and taller rock formation for them.

do you see when we ping? i try to ping everytime

I will try to keep a closer eye on that too.  Maybe we just need a week straight of hot droppin' and running to fights.  ;)
im down with that - that's how the kill leaders rack up so many kills

also theres a setting in gameplay i think that makes pings/marks less transparent so its easier to see

was watching one of those third party videos - they were saying don't snipe at them , instead wait until you're right on top of them before firing.

Another video mentioned if you are fighting another group 1 vs 1 and someone else third parties, use wraith or pathfinder for our group to escape that battle so we can return when the two other teams kill each other -- so that would make us the third party group wiping them both.

Is the monitor and thingy in the middle helping your son?
He says he's playing better and likes the monitor.  Said he can see people better in the distance. He has not bothered with the red target.

He switched to Gibby 2 days ago when we got the setup and has 66 kills, 20k damage, and 5 wins in two days.

I would say yes/no.  Granted, its just 1 night, but it seemed mostly what it helped me with was if I didn't have a sight and tried to hip fire, and when I was running around it helped me focus more on where my crosshairs were at all times - so there were less times when I was aiming at feet.

Otherwise still need sights to get the benefit of the 3x, 4x, etc...

Both of those make sense.

I could see the 1st one especially if they are solo.  Then our gunfire attracts the other team.  However I do like sniping down if 2 teams are battling each other and trying to get 1 or two down, especially if they try to revive a teammate.

2nd is a great tip we probably dont do much at all.

The one brief one I saw also seemed obvious- there are things that attract attention: drops, revive ships, gun fire, etc.  So obviously those are the most likely situation to have a few squads collapsing towards.

Got a new laptop.. serious upgrade from last.  Turns out these things make a difference.

I'm better than I thought I was!
