Are the Bills that good? The Chiefs that bad (1 Viewer)

So every claim you make is correct, every claim you disagree with is wrongWhat a great system you have there :excited:
Since when is stating a fact (Raiders are 6-26 playing on the East Coast) a 'claim'?

Yeah, that's all a rumor now, in the past. The here and now is Hue Jackson and Al Saunders. The here and now is the Raiders #1 run D, and #2 run O. The here and now is WINNING Baby!

:football:
After one week? Against maybe the worst team in football? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
So now, after the fact, they beat the worst team in football? How convenient is that? And if they beat the Bills this weekend, they will have beaten another sadsack team, right? The Bills would be considered just pretenders after all, if'n the Lions smoke KC as well. Then the manta would be, "oh, just wait till they get the Jets and Pats, then we'll see!". That's the East Coast bias I'm talking about. But it's all good though, you know why? Respect is earned. :boxing:

Wait, the league did something to screw the Raiders? NO WAY.
WAYNotice the NFL conveniently put the Raiders as the last Friday preseason game on the schedule on the road, and then they busted Al Davis's balls on cutdown day to get down to 53.

Saturday night cutdown day:

"Were still waiting on Al the slacker. Wake up Al! " The NFL does Al Davis no favors.

I'm just a little suspect annointing the Raiders the top run defense after one week against a team that doesn't really run the ball. But if that helps you sleep well at night, so be it. Do they have a good run game? Absolutely. Win a game on the East Coast and you are correct, my respect will be earned. But ever since 2004, the Raiders have been an abject failure and the laughing stock of the NFL. One sloppy win over a bad Denver team does not mean they have turned the proverbial corner. It's a nice win, but now they have to play in Buffalo on a short week and historically, they haven't done well in this scenario. But good luck. Raider fans sure deserve a better fate.

As a Bills fan this thread has taken a strange turn. I'm not used to hearing how any team will struggle to go on the road to buffalo for quite a few years. Not sure how good I think the Bills are at this point, but I'll happily sit back and enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.

We'll be just fine this week.

I expect the Raiders too :boxing: KO the Bills this week. It was a fun one game winning streak for the Bills while it lasted.

Then shouldn't your team be favored?

A 3 point spread at home is really a coin flip on a neutral site or so goes the rule of thumb. You guys may be 3 1/2 points or even 4, but that line should close on Sunday. HTH

The Bills stepped up and showed they were the better team

This is not the same Bills of the past decade guys. Ever since Fitz took over as QB and got comfortbale in Gaileys system, they have been a whole different team. Ended last season 4-4 and have started out this year 2-0. The Amish Rifle is the real deal. Fred Jackson is most underrated RB in the league. Stevie Johnson and David Nelson just catch balls and get the job done.

Do not sleep on Buffalo. The true test is next week. They have lost so many straight to NE that they are truly the monkey on their back.

The Bills need to get a much better pass rush and better play from the secondary/coverage lb's if they don't want to join the Brady 400+ yard club. Denarius Moore is an exciting looking rookie but is there any excuse for him to be able to beat double coverage right down the middle of the field like he did?

I've been saying all week: These aren't your parent's Bills. Gailey has instilled a winning attitude in the locker room. You can tell that after they have come back from big half time defecits against the Bengals last year and yesterday, they don't have any quit in them and they are starting to learn how to win games.

The defense didn't blitz much last week, primarily relying on the front 4 to get some pressure to no avail. They are going to have to bring some more pressure up the middle to have any chance next week. O-line has been playing great too, with the Bills leading the NFL in rushing after 2 weeks and opening huge holes for Freddie J and Spiller against a pretty stout front 7 in the Raiders.

It wasn't that long ago that people were killing the bills for signing Gailey. It is pretty amazing what he does with such a rag tag group of offensive players.

The Bills look much improved thus far, and it will be interesting to see how they do when they play some tougher opponents (4 games vs the Jets and Patriots, Philly, SD, etc.>

The game against New England next will be very telling. I think most expect NE to win, but the Bills can't take it on the chin from the Patriots at home again. For whatever reason, the Bills seem to play the Patriots tougher in Foxboro. They have lost 7 straight at home to NE, and by scores of:

34-3

17-10

13-0

56-10

28-6

35-7

31-17

That is an average margin of loss of 23 points. That needs to stop. Next week.
