Are the Jets and Sanchez for real? (1 Viewer)

I only watched part of the game, but the Jets and Sanchez looked pretty good out there.

Caveats:

1. It's only week one

2. It was against the Texans

Reasons for optimism?

1. The Jets' offensive line is very very good

2. The running game looks great

3. The defense was solid against a fairly potent offense

Sanchez performed well, and after rookie QB success last year from Flacco and Ryan, is there reason to believe that the Jets have the perfect storm of a good line, running game, and defense to help Sanchez flourish?

Where do you see the Jets finishing? Where do you see Sanchez finishing?

Let's see where they stand after Week 2 (vs. NE).
Absolutely, next week will be a great test to see how the Jets really stack up when we see what Belichek throws at Sanchez/Ryan.However, as a Jet fan, I was thrilled with the team's performance yesterday. I just wanted to see the team be competitive and make constant progress as the season wears on - but after yesterday's performance, there's a cautious optimism growing that has be believing that they can grab their fair share of wins this season. To go on the road, against one of the better offenses in the league (and home teams in the league) and dominate both sides of the football has me very excited to see what this team can do next week against New England.

I think that a game like that is helpful to get confidence going. Better than having to face a tougher team but you must be realistic in your expectations. I cannot expect TJones to do that again against NE but I am happy to have Chris Johnson going up against them next.

I do think that Sanchez is good though.

until the 4th Q, TJ was having a terrible game (less than 2 yards per). He only broke 2 long ones at the end. The Jets did almost all their chain moving on 3rd down.
