I take Baltz for the shingles, Loopresta and Coochifer for the angry gut, Soliloquy on account of Trump and Bastardite for the wandering knee. Sometimes Loogoprill for my spastic shfincter.

No, I'm a footballguy healthy as an ox thanks to all the fad diets, and health threads here.

The Oymadoodiall that my doctor prescribed has done wonders for the shpilkes in my genechtagazoink

Yes:

1) Allergies - I get hit like a freight train.  Have used Flonase and the generic for Claritin D

2) Statin - My cholesterol was originally on the high side of normal (much lower now - 160) and my GP is a big believer in statins for men as a preventative measure.  I don't have any muscle aches or the other typical side effects and liver function is normal, so I'll stay on it.  Generic simvastatin.  I may get off of it if research shows no preventative benefit.

3) Sleep - this is the one I'd love to break but I can't sleep through the night without help.  I'll wake up and then can't go back to sleep for 2-3 hours, which kills me the next day.  I take Temazepam (Restoril).  Hope it doesn't affect long term memory.  But in the meantime I sleep like a rock.

Other than that I just take Vitamin D.  Only deficiency in my blood workup.  Not enough sun in So Cal - whodathunkit?

I take an ace inhibitor for blood pressure.

Hoping to be taken off once I reach my weight loss goal.

No and hopefully I won't have to any time soon.  While I understand and appreciate that there's many out there that have to be on medication I think we've moved a little too far with having our populace medicated.  I'm fearful of the side effects of pills, the competency of some doctors and also their motivation.

Yup. People are way too quick to reach for medication where there are other remedies available  (diet, exercise, more sleep, divorce, etc).

I think part of the reason this poll shows such a high "YES" percentage is because of the FFA average age. The average age in here is like 63 now, right?

Get Off My Lawn!

Oooh Matlock is starting.

Humera for psoriasis, it's a godsend. My grandfather had psoriasis and was a miserable mofo. I inject myself twice a month and am symptom free.

I think the Russian Leonard Cohen over in tim's Soviet Union thread has a 9-minute song about the curse of psoriasis. Glad you needn't hear it.

God I can imagine. About 10 years ago it really flared up and it was devastating. The itching and burning everywhere, plus the total embarrassment of having red scales on your body, started getting on my face as well. Also on the scalp, like having the worlds worst dandruff. Without modern medicine, I can't even imagine what my life would be like now. After about 3 months of Humira, I had no itching, no scales, no dandruff and was back to being shirtless on the beach. God bless the scientists that came up with drug, the insurance that covers it and the wonderful community that provides me with that insurance (out of pocket, it's like $60,000 a year).
