Are you starting Jordy this week? (1 Viewer)

With Cobb and possibly Jones out it seems like a no brainer. However Jordy is gonna get covered by Haden all day. This is the stats of opposing teams WR1 so far this season:

Wallace 1/15/0

Smith 7/85/0

Jennings 3/43/0

Green 7/51/0

Stevie 2/19/0

Calvin 3/25/0

That is an average of 7.5 points in PPR. Scary! Will Rodgers be able to force feed Jordy the football, and am I over analyzing this?

I'm starting him but it's a legit question.

As is usually the case it depends on your options. For me, barring injury Jordy is in my lineup for the rest of the year.

But I do think some have focused on the likely increase in targets due to GB's injuries and overlooked the matchup with Haden, who IMO is as good or better than advertised.

Unless you are loaded at WR and/or have a particularly compelling matchup with another player I think you have to have faith in A-Rod and hope for the best this week.

I've seen enough of Jordy to start him regardless who's covering him. Yardage & catches may dip a little with Haden on him but I bet you he still finds the endzone at least once.

He should get a minimum of 10 targets and only one needs to be a TD for him to have a big day. I'll take my chances even against Haden.

Tough call for me with either him or VJax. VJax would have been a no-brainer for me if M Williams was going to be out again but it looks like he'll play.

I'm considering benching him for A. Brown.

Hayden scares me. With the other receivers banged up it's Jordy and Finley.

Hayden can shut down a WR and this week it's Jordy.

I do have Lacy, so some upside their if they run more this week with their WR's banged up.

The only game that really stands out to me is vs Green, Stevie was banged up going into the game and played only half the game? Calvin was playing on one knee and looked terrible, shutting down Jennings these days isnt impressive, Wallace doesnt do jack half the season no matter who the cb is.

Good thread on a tough call. I think I am. He's been so good every week that he's hard to leave behind. I'd have to be putting in guys like Hilton, Jeffery, or someone off the wire in the three leagues where I own Jordy. Those aren't bad options, and they are good matchups, but...ehhhh. A really tough decision.

In fairness from a Browns homer who has seen every snap of every game this year... Calvin was injured and a decoy most of the game. Stevie Johnson hurt his back during the first half and missed half the game. AJ Green got plenty of targets but Dalton played terribly. Ponder was equally (or worse) terrible in the Jennings game. Torrey Smith put up good numbers as well. Wallace isn't much of an actual receiver.

Clear No. 1 WRs who were healthy haven't done terribly vs. Haden (Green and Smith put up 27.6 points in two games).

Just finished switching out Jordy for Lamar Miller in my flex spot so this is a great question. Not sure how I feel about it but Miller has a great matchup coming out of the bye. If Miller doesn't produce he will be firmly on the bench from here on out.
