Are you starting LT or Sproles? (1 Viewer)

Yes, his "swelling has subsided" - but that hardly inspires much confidence in LT. Even if LT does try to play, you'd think Sproles still gets 10-15 touches, maybe 5 recs and maybe a TD. Is that worth sitting LT over - who besides the bum toe, is facing a mean interior Jets D-line ...

This will be nice to be on record for a :lmao:

Im starting LT (unless news comes out he didn't practice today), then I will start Lendale White, D-Will, or Hightower. (Sproles is a scrub).

In what may go down as the dumbest move of the week.....If it looks like LT is a no-go, I am starting Hester over Sproles. I think they will both see carries and Sproles will be the between the 20's guy and Hester will get the goalline duties. Just a hunch, and like I said - it may end up being the dumbest move of the week.

Too early to say. Holding off until the last possible moment to make a decision. If I had to make a decision today, I'd say Sproles.

I think Sproles is the better matchup Vs the Jets defense which I think is MUCH tougher up the middle yet still susceptible to the Kevin Faulk / Wes Welker types with screens and misdirections like we saw Sproles do last week......

Still trying to decide whether to play 3 WR vs. 2 RB by substituting Welker for either LT or Sproles. My gut tells me this is another week where LT plays decoy, so it really a decision between Welker and Sproles at this point.

...Sproles is a scrub.
A scrub averaging 6.2 yards per carry (5.0 career) on a good and now well rounded offense.I don't have LT, but I do have Sproles, and I will be starting him as a flex over Edge and DeSean Jackson.
On how many carries? Did you see that Earnest Graham is over 8 ypc for the year.
9 this year and 54 in his career.I'm not implying that he would keep up that average as a starter, just saying that he has proven that he can produce in this offense, and that he's hardly a scrub.

Unless I hear definite news one way or the other on LT's status I'm benching both LT and Sproles and going with Michael Turner and Jamal Lewis.

At the moment, I've got LT and Sproles slated to start side by side on the same squad. One of them will likely disappear, but I'd have my bets hedged. I will have until Sunday morning to make a final decision on whether to use another player (Jones-Drew, Lendale White) in place of either LT or Sproles.

Well i am also sitting with Sproles but there game is Monday and i don't think we will be lucky enough to find out what we want to know on Sunday like active or inactive. But if im wrong that will be sweet to find out Sunday, does anyone know if they will have him listed active or not on Sunday? Like most i have to put in my lineup in Sunday.

if I had to choose between them I'd pick sproles.

I'd wait 'til tomlinson proves he's recovered before I'd use him.

turf toe is a #####.

I expect Norv Turner to wait until Monday pre-game to make a call on Tomlinson. An announcement early Sunday would be a shocker. From the Chargers' point of view, why rush it?

Chargers beat writer Kevin Acee said on NFL Network's Team Cam program that he expects Darren Sproles to get more carries than LaDainian Tomlinson on Monday night.

Acee said Tomlinson's toe is too painful for him to consistently push off and make moves horizontally. Acee also indicated that LT2 may only get around 10 carries against the Jets, just like last week. Sproles should be in lineups as a flex or RB2, particularly in points per reception leagues. He is a potent threat out of the backfield.

OK ... I benched LT last night. As hellz confirmed above, the Friday practice reports were not encouraging. Kept Sproles in the lineup.

Why do you care? Because my benching LT guarantees that he'll go off for 200 yds & 5 TDs :goodposting:
