After injuries significantly limited his 2013 season, Texans running back Arian Foster had fallen largely out of view.

He’s now back in the public eye, for entirely unwanted reasons.

According to TMZ, Foster has been sued by a woman who claims that Foster impregnated her — and that Foster and his family members harassed her about having an abortion.

The woman contends that DNA testing already has shown a 99.99-percent match to Foster, and that the baby is due in June. She claims that Foster “constantly harassed [her] to get an abortion for the child.”

Foster apparently has not yet commented on the situation. He’ll have the right to dispute all allegations contained in the complaint, and to otherwise pursue all defenses aimed at securing a favorable outcome.

HOUSTON – A judge has ordered Houston Texans Arian Foster and the woman who is allegedly pregnant with his child to comply with a mutual injunction to stay away from each other until their legal matter is done.

Brittany Norwood’s attorneys filed for a temporary restraining order against the married running back claiming he and his brother have been pressuring her to get an abortion. A hearing on the matter was set for Wednesday morning, but Harris County Family Court Judge James Lombardino called in attorneys for both sides Tuesday. He ruled that neither side can harass the other while the case plays out in court.

She doesn't have to be Joan d'Arc to deserve sympathy. I think it's easy to conclude she's a golddigger. It's also easy to conclude that Foster is a philandering guy of low integrity. I think those things even out. You don't get one thing without another, after all. But to harass the woman that's carrying his child to abort it is over the line. I know why you don't see it that way. It's probably instinctual for a football fan to circle the wagons around your own players.

You assume she knew he was married. You are also assuming she is a bad person when no one knows the circumstances. I always put this on the athletes, they should know better than to get involved with woman just for sex. It ends up like this. I feel sympathy for her, you do not know what led to them getting together, maybe she was mislead. How anyone can side with a man trying to kill an unborn child because of the hassle it imposes is kind of upsetting to me as a father.

My sympathy can change once I get more facts, until then, Foster is married with kids. This is on him and no one else.

Since it is obvious that his wife knows of this, you can rule out the motive as "I want to keep this quiet/make it go away".

That leaves us with "I don't want to support the child" or maybe , just maybe (and I only say this because he always seems to a deep thinker, different kind of guy) he has a deep feeling of the need to be part of a child's life that he fathers and he knows that is impossible in this case. Maybe he agonizes about the child, knowing that he won't be around and the mother isn't a stand-up citizen (I don't know that either, just thinking maybe he knows her well enough to have concerns).

That is giving a LOT of credit/pass to Foster but it is one possibility. Doesn't dismiss the fact that it never should have happened though. Also doesn't make him public enemy #1 either because there are MANY men and women who have been in this boat before.

The pictures look like she really thought something was going on. Why would Foster pose for pics with her if he was married? He was misleading this girl. While I think any woman involved with a celebrity is a gold digger including their wife to some account, you can't just tell from pictures and media accounts.
