Arizona Diamondbacks 2013 (1 Viewer)

No fanbase deserves what Towers and Gibson are doing to that team. T&P.
I'm not following this. What have they done that was so bad?
1) Trading Chris Young for an all-glove SS and human gas can Heath Bell.2) Trading Justin Upton for an inferio player who they could've signed in free agency 9 months from now, and another all-glove SS prospect.3) Trading Trevor Bauer for another all-glove SS, who they didn't bother giving a physical4) Cody Ross, 3 years, 26 million dollars.

Not sure if I should laugh or cry.keithlaw ‏@keithlawTony Campana is gritty, hard-nosed, and totally inept at the plate, so of course the Diamondbacks traded two minor leaguers to get him.

Goldschmidt signed to a 5 year contract. I am a big fan of this.

Injury's are putting a damper on opening day- Eaton, Bloomquist, Cody

I was really looking forward to seeing Eaton on opening day. I cant wait for tomorrow.

Pollock had three hits last night. The three hits tied for the most by a D-Back rookie opening day.

Pretty cool to have an unexpected guy get the hits.

That's the kind of thing gritty teams who bring their lunch pails to the office do.

Tonight it is Marte's turn to put the hard hat on. Grab a container of coffee and get to gritting it up.

Corbin looked pretty dang good last night as the D backs 5th starter beat Kershaw. :pickle:

I will be heading to the game tonight and hopefully Kennedy can win the series tonight. BEAT LA!!!!

Things are looking pretty good so far. I have been going to quite a few games and this is a fun team to watch.

* I recently won a silver edition signed Aaron Hill bobble head. :pickle:

Total neutral here...

The Dodgers bean a player on a team they have bad blood with, and when the obligatory retaliation comes they escalate it instead of taking their medicine?

Greinke got what he deserved -- he never should have hit Montero. And he's an idiot not to be ready for the ball up and in.

Did Greinke hit a Diamondback before Kennedy hit Puig? Video of brawl I've seen has not included that. Hit were Puig/Montero/Greinke in that order no?

Yeah -- Greinke plunked Cody Ross.

Hitting somebody is one thing, but to go head hunting is unforgiveable. Of course, with Ian Kennedy's suckitude this year he may have been aiming for his back but missed. Both of Kennedy's were near the face/head. Where were Grienke's?

Yeah -- Greinke plunked Cody Ross.
That pitch was a little inside and Ross did a terrible job of getting out of the way. Then Puig gets hit in the face. Of course Greinke had to retaliate and did it correctly by hitting Montero in the back. Kennedy going high on Greinke is a ##### move. I also like how Greinke stayed on the mound while Kennedy immediately scurried to the dugout after his headhunting on Greinke. No defending Kennedy here imho.

The only possible defense of Kennedy's action is if he was ordered to retaliate by the Diamondbacks' bench. At some point in every beanball war, there comes a time to stop escalating. For me, it should have ended after Greinke was hit.
