Arnaz Battle as Wk3 Sleeper WR (1 Viewer)

Saw Arnaz was a sleeper WR this week, and as I actually picked him off the wire this week and still haven't sorted out my WR2 for wk3, I'd be interested to hear more.

I drafted him last year and early in the season paid close attention to SF games, and loved what I saw of Battle. Just thought he looked like he had "it". Big physical guy, got open, made the tough catches, broke tackles in midfield.

That said, haven't really watched much of SF this year. How is he being used? Also, his trendiness this week seems to be due to the fact that the WR2s vs. PHI this year have had good games. Any Philly homers care to chime in on that front? Is this guy (can't remember his name...) really that awful?

If you get return points then he is a good option - otherwise you are rolling the dice. Smith has not been looking at him much so far this year.

Should we mark it down?

Depends on what your other options are. Hanson got into the game last week and wasn't all that impressive(see Toomer's stats). If I remember right, Hanson came from the NFL Europe league. I expect the Eagles to focus on shutting down Gore as they did Barber for most of the game last week. That and the fact that I think the Eagles will score quite a few points means that SF will put the ball into the air. I think Battle will probably draw Hanson and Brown will cover Bryant. Like I said, depends on your other options.

Good Luck

The Eagles have a depleted secondary and will likely look to take ABryant away as much as possible.

Battle will face Joselio Hanson - who was on the WW 2 weeks ago. That's not your IDP league WW, that's the NFL WW.

The Eagles have lost Lito Sheppard and now Roderick Hood at CB due to injury. Don't be surprised to see ABryant stretch the field and ABattle rack up some catches as well.

Yeah, we get return points, which is what made me note Battle, who is avg 8ppg.Hanson, that's the rubbish CB I was thinking of. Thanks. Wow, didn't realize he was a ww pickup 2 weeks ago. Yikes.

Sorry, my error - I believe Hanson made the final cut but they did just add Dexter Wynn who they cut 2 weeks ago. My mistake - but Wynn's now on the team because of the depleted secondary.Either way, it isn't their top picks in the lineup at DB.
