Art Shell "Drastic Changes" (1 Viewer)

Just read the article on the blogger (Blogger Article) and actually lauged out loud when I read that Shell considers benching Andrew Walter a "drastic" move. What on earth is wrong with this guy? Did it really take you this long to realize he wasn't getting it done, or that you may want to consider changing your gameplan a little?

Those of us with Raiders still on our fantasy rosters (Jordan, Moss)...we have been screaming for Aaron Brooks for weeks. Maybe this will give them somewhat of a pulse, who knows.

The 1 yard TD is meaningless - the fact that Jordan was outperformed by the one-dimensional Zack Crockett is pretty telling as to how much Jordan has fallen.

Jordan needs to lose twenty pounds. He looks fat out there.
He's always looked heavy, back to his days with the Jets.I think it's more a case that he's lost the fire. Previously, he seemed to be the only guy on offense that looked like he was trying out there, but I don't get that sense anymore.

I will not disagree but offer...They have the leagues worst offensive line, bar none. That has ALOT to do with it too...

Funny how he's talking about benching Walter when Brooks is coming back.

The sad thing is it doesn't matter who you put back there under center, if the line takes a vacation every Sunday, your QB is ####ED! With a capital 'F'!

Everytime I see "lowlights" from a Raiders game I get an overwhelming urge to go take a dump.

No doubt, but I look at it from a relative value point of view. Crockett seemed to have some good runs behind that same line. While Jordan looked good against Cleveland, I just don't know what the deal is with him anymore.

OAK = laxitive? I think Shell lost this team - IF he ever had it.

Ancient owner, old coach (bringing in the old boyz), out of date gameplan = pain in NOCal. As a Browns fan, I feel for you guys.

I actually don't think the line did that badly this Sunday. Walter was awful and has no pocket presence; there was a pocket for him to use, if he had any clue. The over-arching problem with the Raiders' offense, though, is that they have no heart. Aaron Brooks returning will increase the talent level, but won't help with the heart problem.

Throw out the shredded wheat and just tape an Oakland game yeeehaw!

Ding ding! Zamboni nails it. It has nothing to do with Jordan's loss of talent. It is painfully evident, from watching games, interviews, and highlights of the Raiders, that the personnel on the O side of the ball are playing with zero fire and intensity. While the line is mostly to blame for the woes, the lack of the player's seeming to want to win every game no matter how bad the team's record is (read: being a professional) is what is killing this team.

As bad as the Raiders looked this season I am very interested to see how they fare against their easier upcoming schedule. They have had some tough defenses to face in Baltimore, Denver (2X), Pittsburgh and San Diego.

That all being said, they are the worst team in football, but I am guessing they can only improve with easier opponents.

Shawn Payton refused the offer to interview for this job...

Ken Wisenhunt also refused the offer to interview...

a host of other coaches I cannot recall right now wouldn't even consider this place.

I own Moss in too many places, and I can't believe this is really a professional football team...
