Good post - I think people tend to forget what Vick has done so early in his career. Compare him to another QB who has basically had one good month in his career.Tony Romo04/21/1980Michael Vick06/26/1980
Vick may not be a coach killer, but it is notable that when he reports for his seventh NFL training camp in July, he'll be working with a third different permanent head coach. It's four coaches if you count the interim tenure of Wade Phillips in 2003.
Well, that's three/four coaches and how many offensive coordinators? Sounds like a coach killer to me.
The fact is Mike VIck is more Kordell Stewart than Steve Young. So what Atlanta needs to do is build their team in the mold of the Kordell Stewart Pittsburgh Steelers - power running game (Bettis type), change of pace running game (Jerious Norwood), a great defense and wideouts who have hands like glue (Hines Ward).
Was Mike Mularkey the OC of the Steelers when Kordell has his decent season or two? If so, hire him as the HC or OC and roll with that.
