Assuming Culpepper is Healthy (1 Viewer)

I am looking at the FBG rankings and it appears that even with all the positive news from Miami that DC's rankings are still very low. I know his injury was worse than Palmers, but it also has had more time to heal yet he is ranked around 20 while Palmer is at 9. The move to Miami seems to be a very good one for Culpepper, he has a great RB, Chambers is a very good WR that has done good things with lesser QB's. Not to mention Booker, and McMichael all being nice weapons. He looks much slimmer and I would expect that he'll continue to have some value as a runner when he needs to.

Let's assume he makes it through training camp and preseason fine and is ready for week 1, where would you guys put him:

Manning, Palmer (healthy of course) , McNabb, Hasselbeck, possibly Brady are the only QB's I can truly see ranking ahead of him.

If I knew C-Pepp were 100% healthy going into the season, I'd have him top 5 surely. If he had enough rushing TDs and the TD:INT ratio were solid, he'd compete for #1.

I don't agree with all this D. C. love.

He has been a top QB, but now we have to add some other variables into the equation.

Bum Knee.....Ya it might be OK but I want to see him run full speed, slam on

the brakes and pivot sideways before I annoint him a top 3.

New Team...New system, New W.R.

It's still early..........so I'll just wait and watch the progress...

Pointless hypothetical, because there is no way he will even be 90% of what he used to be.

At least in this coming season, he will not have the confidence in his knee to scramble like the old Culpepper.

Also it is unfair to say he is "always a top QB when healthy" because he was absolutly HORRIBLE last year, at 100%.

If he plays all 16 games (not assuming he's going to be 100%) he could finish in the lower half of the top 10, at best.

With his weight, and the severity of his knee injury, plus the fact he was stinking it up last season I would hold off a bit on Culpepper.

What DC love? There is tons more Palmer love and he was injured months after CPepp.Palmer is QB2 at MFL ADP tracker.

Culpepper is QB9 (high IMO).

FBG staff rankings have Palmer at QB9 and Culpepper QB18.

I'm not really seeing a lot of DC love.

The hypothetical was a completely healthy C-Pepp in Miami, which would make him top5.
