Assuming you are happy with your QB now (1 Viewer)

Time to break out the crystal ball here. For the sake of argument, let's say you are happy with your situation at QB for 2006. I know there will be alot of "ifs" on this, but given the possible WR corps and O-lines for each team in 2007 and beyond, who would you want?

Matt Leinart - Young O-line (oldest current starter is 27), young WR's (you know who they are), old QB in front of him probably playing his last season, if he even finishes this season

Jay Cutler - Older O-line (ranging from 26 to 35), 1 aging WR and 1 coming back from injury, young TE with potential, Plummer may be starter for another few years

Dan Orlovsky - O-line ranges from 27 to 32, lots of young WR's with talent, may become starter next year, but does he deserve to be in this company?

Aaron Rodgers - Tackles are 29+30, guards and center are 23-25, stud WR with a few years left, an up-and-coming WR to gel with, Favre can't go forever, can he?

Tavaris Jackson - Great O-line (with none over 30), so-so talent at WR, Methusala as the current QB

Kellen Clemens - Young great talent on the O-line, not alot at WR, may see the field in 2006

Andrew Walter - Mix of young and old on the O-line, good WR corps, competing to be backup (which he should win)

Philip Rivers - Mix of young and old on the O-line, 1 aging WR and 1 up-and-comer, already a starter, LT and Gates to ease the pain

Alex Smith - O-line ranging from 24-34, not alot at WR, young TE to gel with, already a starter

Chris Simms - Decent O-line in their mid-20's, aging WR and some young ones, already a starter with little competition for the forseeable future

Vince Young - Middle of O-line is aging, nice young WR corps (when healthy), should see the field sooner that most young QB's

Jason Campbell - Most of the O-line around 30 yrs old, proven WR's that are not too old, backing up an ancient QB

Brodie Croyle - Old O-line, WR's aren't all that much, starting QB getting up in age

Now that I've typed this out, I like Leinart, Rivers, and Simms. Leinart's situation looks perfect, as long as the ARI offensive team stays together. Feel free to add others, thanx.

There's a reason that you like them best. They are more polished players and will also come at a much higher price (especially if we are talking dynasty). Philip Rivers is another guy who would fall in this group.Tarvaris Jackson is a guy who is undervalued now, but has looked great in what action I've seen him play. He could easily be a starter in '07 with that team reshuffling and Johnson just about ready to hang 'em up. He's got some nice potential. Alex Smith is also very underrated currently in dynasty leagues. He went in the 14th round of a 12-team dynasty startup I'm in back in May (after T.Green). That is some nice value.

I am content with my starter and backup, and have these two. I'm quite happy with them, wouldn't trade Leinart for any young QB, except maybe Eli. Orlovsky is a cheap, high reward, sleeper. Wouldn't trade him for his value.

Those 3 get my vote - Leinart, Eli, Orlovsky (again, only in relation to his value)

You don't believe Bruce G. offers competition as early as next training camp? I really believe Gruden is higher on him than he may be on Simms. Plus, I don't think Simms has "the leadership" intangibles to really take the team to the next level. Just my opinion, but someone to keep an eye on. In a "deep" dynasty you can do worse for a QB4.
