AT40 - This Week In 1970 (1 Viewer)

4. "I Think I Love You" - The Partridge Family

I thought, coming in, that this would be the #1 song on this countdown

2. "We've Only Just Begun" - The Carpenters

I think this song has been the husband/wife dance in more weddings I've been to than any other. My aunt used it twice.

Well, that's it for this week boys & girls. Until next time, hold your head up and keep reaching for the stars.

Have you been watching "Soundbreaking" on PBS. 8 part series - 4 this wk (4 in a row on right now on 1 of my PBS stations) - on the recording industry? Fabulous, including a whole section about 2 Moog guys turning Steveland onto synths and becoming his producers for that 5-disk run that i'll put against any in recording history.
Great series.

This is rapidly becoming my favorite series of threads to read.
Glad you enjoy it. It sucks that the nature of it - I'm posting them as they play - doesn't allow for much discussion. In years past, I've delayed posting to let a dozen or so songs get played (kind of like DVR'ing a football game to FF through the ads), but that wasn't as satisfying to me personally. I think wikkid riffing is more enjoyable than what I post anyway

Wild guess, but I think next week will be '75 or '76. Seems like it's been a while since SXM has done one of those years
