Atlanta for the night (1 Viewer)

If Bones is in your budget and you want an incredible steak, my choice would be Hal's. Much better atmosphere IMO
Comparable to Bones money-wise? Neither has prices on their menus so I am not sure if it is in my price range but then again, I am not paying. I'm not sure (yet) how much I want a big steak.

Hal's is probably a bit less expensive and their menu is more diverse. So if you don't necessarily want a steak, Hal's is more likely to have something else that you would like. Bones is not a place I would go if I wasn't having steak. Both places are what most people would consider pricey/upscale with Bones especially having a really blueblood/country club kind of vibe.

My personal preference is for a more casual and fun experience when I'm in a new city. Taqueria del Sol is a cool Tex-Mex-Southern fusion place with cool specials every night, and Varasano's is probably the best pizza place in Buckhead (and some would argue, the entire city).

I can recommend more places if you have a more specific cuisine/price point/atmosphere in mind.

Also I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we have some really excellent gentleman's clubs, and massage/peepshow type places. Name your perversion and I can point you in the right direction.

There's a new BBQ place next to Chipolte, named Lovies, that has great que. If you take a left out of your hotel and walk towards Peachtree St, there's Bistro Niko, which is a French restaurant that has a great happy hour crowd for eye candy. So does Delfriscos, which is the next block over, and they have an interesting menu. Also, in the Intercontinental Hotel, is Southern Art....a ham bar. If you are out and about in that area , stop by Buckhead Pizza. I'll be at the bar with a Masters cap on. Have fun!

There's a great deal of opinions out there in Atlanta as to who has the best steak. You can't go wrong with Bones or Hal's, especially if staying in the Buckhead area. I prefer Bones b/c I happen to like their steaks more, they have a better wine list, and you aren't jammed in there like sardines, which is what I feel like when I'm eating downstairs at Hal's. So, if you're not paying, that's where I would go. However, the eye candy at the bar after 6pm or so at Hal's is SIGNIFICANTLY better than anything you find at Bones, so that may tip the odds.

Another thing....the NFL owners meeting is at the Ritz here in Buckhead this week. Keep your eyes peeled for some of them, if that is your sort of thing, if you hit Bones, Hals, Chops, etc.

It's not my first visit to Atlanta but my first stay in this particular location. The French place sounds intriguing. How good is happy hour on a Monday?

Cool Sherpa, I may head over your way after I get in and get some grub. My flight is delayed so I probably won't get to the hotel until 6:30 at the earliest.

It is one of the go-to happy hour places in Buckhead. It will have a good crowd from 5:30-730. Can't go wrong.

Contemplating a move to Atlanta. Couldn't find anything else so I figured I'd make this the unofficial, Official Atlanta Thread. Anything a newbie should know? I'm intrigued by these gentleman's clubs that you speak of.
