Atlanta Homers- Jenkins or White ? (1 Viewer)

Horn is the starter but who's #2 as a WR ??both are available in our league and one of them could be decent #5 WR
I would say Jenkins... I thinks hes going to move around from the #2 too the slot... depending on the play and match up... so Jenkins maynot be the #2 WR in football sense... but he'll be FF WR#1 for Atl.

Both will be starting. Horn wont last the season, he hasn't come to the reality that he's not 26 anymore. He just plays to wreckless with his body. He might needs to watch how Marvin protects his body. The falcons will run alot of 3 wide sets too.

thx for this thread. i picked up jenkins in the last round in a draft where i got receivers late, so just took a few needing just a couple to work out. when i saw he wasn't in the starting line up, i was wondering if that rosetr spot could be better used. buyt i will wait.

According to this, Laurent actually started over Roddy White in week 1.
I don't really trust rotoworld, so can anyone confirm whether Robinson indeed started?I'm not high on any of the Falcons WRs, but Robinson is probably the only one that interests me. Horn looks done, while White and Jenkins still have yet to show anything of substance. At least Robinson hasn't disproven himself yet.

Laurent very soon. I would suggest watching the ATL-MIN shortcut tonight on CH 729. He didn't seem to be starting but when he came in, he was strong. For a rookie, his ability to pluck the ball at the same time checking his feet along the sidelines was veteran-like. You may laugh and roll your eyes now as I compare the way he caught the ball to the way Larry Fitzgerald does. I say laugh now becasue you won't be in about a year or 2. Maybe earlier. Dude is good.

I don't put much into Roto opinions.... but their reporting is very good. Robinson is going to be the man... I regret snagging him in only one dynasty league this yr.

NFL.com Gamebook also lists Robinson as the starter.
Interesting. Perhaps he was on the field for the first play and rotated out, but the fact that he was the starter is still pretty telling.
Yes, it's definitely a rotation. Roddy White caught some passes on that 1st drive. Robinson ended with only 4 targets - 3 catches, 32 yds.

True, Robinson's targets seemed to come later in the game, but I think White had only one more target than Robinson, and Horn even less. One game does not make a trend, but it looks like this Robinson kid is going to get some meaningful PT sooner rather than later.

Robinson is the guy that I like here in the short and long term. White and Jenkins aren't very good. How many drops does the coaching staff need to see before it benches those guys in favor of its hand picked WR of the future? Probably not very many. This team is going nowhere. As the losses pile up, the staff will be less and less patient with underachieving players.

Robinson has better hands than White and Jenkins. He also runs better routes. It's unlikely that he'll have a true breakout season, but he's an intriguing waiver guy in deep leagues. He's also a great pickup in dynasty leagues if his owner doesn't know what he has. This guy fell very far in a lot of rookie drafts this year, so there's a pretty good chance that the guy who took him in your league isn't all that high on him. Now is the time to capitalize on that.
