atlanta to play more 3-4? (1 Viewer)

Although coach Mike Smith continues to preach defensive multiplicity without revealing much detail, the Falcons will have more of a 3-4 look in 2014. Believe that. It was obvious when players started talking about it immediately after last season. Then the Falcons added bulky nose tackle Paul Soliai and defensive end Tyson Jackson up front. Drafting defensive end Ra'Shede Hageman was further confirmation.

What does this do to Worrilow's value?

Second-year UDFA Joplo Bartu is running as the Falcons' starting inside linebacker next to Paul Worrilow at training camp.
Both Bartu and Worrilow are second-year undrafted free agents who struggled as rookies. Pro Football Focus graded Worrilow as a bottom-ten inside linebacker last season, among 55 qualifiers. Bartu showed well in run defense, but was the league's third worst 4-3 outside linebacker in pass coverage per PFF.

kind of funny. there was a lot of chatter about how good bartu was in coverage. now it sounds like he is a good fit on the inside? weird.
