An owner in my league just dropped DD and I was wondering what other GMs are doing??

Do you consider him toast, or are you going to hold on a little longer?

John Clayton reported on Sportcenter today that he actually may be cut!!! I also heard on ESPN Radio yesterday that Wali Lundy is the starter, regardless of DD's injury!! DD is a fantasy stud when he is healthy.

No way I would just outright drop him at this point yet. Especially in a dynasty/keeper league. In a redraft league with VERY limited rosters, then maybe, but I wouldnt do anything until more definite news comes out

I draft early in both of my leagues, both done by June. There was one guy, who was so happy getting Davis in the late 2nd(initial dynasty). He could not believe so many of us passed on Davis. I'm glad he took him, because I would have drafted him in the third.

We just had our draft and the guy who took him in the 4th just dropped him and I immediately signed him. What's the risk in holding onto him for another month to see if he gets better?

Own him in one dynasty. Riding him all the way down.....
I've got him in 2, but I also got Lundy for very cheap before the 1st preseason game. I'd like to get Morency but his owners still aren't budging on their high prices. In dynasty you have to hold him, he's likely shut down this year, but who knows next year?

Sorry if this is a honda but I've not seen it posted here after a few looks...

Dom Davis placed on IR for '06? - per Sportsline.com:

News: The Houston Chronicle reports that Texans RB Domanick Davis, who has been suffering with a bruised knee and has missed all but two days of training camp with the club, is a candidate for the Injured Reserve list, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. "Domanick is a big part of this team, as I've said all along, but if his knee isn't healthy enough for him to play, then he's looking at injured reserve," Kubiak said. "I don't know what's going to happen. We've got to sit down as a group to discuss the situation." A day earlier, the newspaper suggested that Davis might be waived. Davis is not a candidate for the Physically Unable to Perform list since he passed the Texans' physical at the start of training camp. Kubiak also said earlier that if the season started now, rookie Wali Lundy would start at running back and second-year rusher Vernand Morency would also get some carries.

Analysis: Kubiak will meet with Davis, his agent and team doctors to discuss the running back's future. If the doctors feel like Davis' knee will be back to normal in a few weeks, he'll make the final roster. Otherwise, they'll ice him for the season, making him useless in seasonal Fantasy leagues. Since he's missed so much time already, and because Lundy and Morency have been impressive, we're thinking Davis won't play in 2006. If you have yet to draft, move up Lundy and Morency on your rank lists and drop Davis way down. If you own Davis, your best move is to try and trade for another running back (Lundy and Morency would be two good options) and wait to release Davis until his 2006 status is determined.

Well my league has expanded rosters in the offseason (25+1 IR) Our Cutdown is in a few days. I wasnt a DD owner but recieved him in a deal that netted me Peyton H.Ward and AlGe Crumpler. I sent back my young guys like C.Perry B.Calhoun M.Bradley P.Rivers and what most likely will be the 1.01 pick next year from the worst team in the league. Well now that cat will probaly have the top 2 picks...

But anyways....I had Portis, Bush, T.Bell, C.Cobb Lendale Morency Dayne and DD.

I had to makemy 1st round of cuts and dynasty wise i didnt want DD anyway and wouldnt trade Morency....so i was gonna cut DD but shipped him off for a future 3rd rounder, could have gotten a future 2nd but didnt wanna push the issue. Like i say he was a throw-in anyway.

But if i couldnt get nothing for him in my 20 man roster dynasty league i would have sent him packing anyways.
