Just took a flyer on Arturo Freeman in a 16 team IDP dynasty initial draft ... had read that he was pencilled in as starting SS and Roman might not even make the team (sorry, no link, It was from an article and comments on some Packers Board) ...Is this right? Any insight? Will my late-round investment pay off for a year or so?

Right now, your guess is as good as mine. The secondary is in a mess and in the scrimmage with Buffalo nobody in my mind stood out. If I hear anything or see anything I'll let you know. Freeman at this point might have an edge so it might pay off.

:goodposting: There's talk of Collins being the long-term solution at SS, but I would assume he could also play FS. Also, Earl Little could also be in the mix.

Along the same lines of Pretender's post, throw some names in a hat (Freeman, Little, Roman, Collins) and draw a name.

there may be some short term value there, but the pack secondary is gonna be ugly this year. its so bad that they may regret letting bhawoh jue go.

In Bates' scheme, from Miami, who was more productive the FS or SS?

short term: romanlong-term: collinsi'm beginning to think collins is going to get a look sooner, rather than later

Collins is getting most of the work as first team saftey. He could rack up some decent tackle numbers since no one else on that squad can tackle. :P
