AUCTION 3Keeper - 2 openings, $100 each, $200 cap (1 Viewer)

Alberta Clipper

Footballguy
I commish the FAST - (Fantasy Auction Supreme Test)

It's also FAST because the online auction is fast paced one player at a time on one night.

hosted on MFL.com

2009 website - FAST 2009 mfl website

Entering our 7th year.

I've commished fantasy leagues for over 10 years so if you would like some references just let me know.

There are 2 available franchises in 2010 (Jackal King & Train Wreck).

Train Wreck has several good keeper options.

Jackal King not so much but 1 or 2 possibilities.

Here is what I am going to offer to the 2 new Franchises that pay with paypal and join our league.

All eligible keepers from the 2 vacant teams will be combined.

The 2 new owners will have a mini draft for keepers as follows just from the eligible keepers on these 2 teams.

1. Team A

2. Team B

3. Team B

4. Team A

5. Team B

6. Team A

At any point a team can pass and not keep anyone. i.e. you do not have to keep 3 players. In fact every year several teams go with just 1 or even no keepers.

The 2 teams once paid up will randomly determine via online dice roll who goes first (team A).

Team B will then get the next 2 opportunities to protect someone and then each will alternate for the remaining pick(s).

The combined keepers available include (all 2nd yr unless otherwise noted):

Reggie Wayne $48

Chris Johnson $26 (yr3)

Roddy White $26 (yr3)

Addai $22

DeSean Jackson $14 (yr3)

Matt Ryan $11 (yr3)

Slaton $11 (yr3)

H Nicks $8

Shockey $8

Meachem $6

There are another 18 or so potential keepers but the ones listed above have the most potential value.

If you know someone that would like to apply for one of the open Franchises show them this email, our rules and MFL page, etc. and let me know ASAP.

Keeper rules are keep up to 3 players subject to the following:

- max of 1 RB

- raise of 15% or min $5

- can keep players a max of 5 years including their initial auction year

Roster 18 - start 10

PPR - 0.5 RB, 1.0 WR & 1.5 TE

$200 cap - note salary cap in this league is a 'soft cap' i.e. salary cap is not enforced during the season.

This is a very competitive league and with the limited keeper options/raises teams have elected to have ZERO keepers and done very well.

Full rules avail on the MFL site but I'll post here too later.

Let me know if any interest or questions.

I'll vouch for Alberta Clipper, as I've been in this league for years now. Don't let that scare you, as you can still go for 2nd place! :lmao:

AUG 9 - the opening post has been edited to reflect 2 available franchises.

The 2 new franchises that are accepted into the league will each have a 50/50 chance at signing Chris Johnson for $26 salary in 2010 which is an incredible bargain/discount in a $200 cap league!

I've received interest but nothing firm yet. There are some existing franchises upset that these 2 new teams will have a better start than them!

It's a great opportunity to jump right into an established league with a very competitive base.

Give someone Chris Johnson for $26 in a $200 cap auction league and I think they'd have to screw up pretty badly to miss the playoffs!

Hoping to fill today.

HI Joe.

I have used online dice rolls for draft positions in redraft leagues like the following for several years now. I think it would satisfy this purpose too.

Here is an example from my redraft league last year...

1. Go to this website: http://www.pbegames.com/roller/

2. Enter YOUR email in the first line 3. Enter MY email in the 2nd line xxxxxxxxxxxxx

4. Enter any other emails in the other 3 lines (optional - will likely include Unlucky who also plays in this league/runs PhenomsFF).

5. Results - click email or both - your choice

6. Summary description - enter FAST/your team name

7. Rolls = 1

8. Dice type = 11d1000L1 - be careful you enter correctly. this means 11 rolls of a 1000 sided dice and drop the lowest roll.

9. Rolls per line = 1

10. Comment: I think this is not required but you could enter your team name again.

11. Hit submit.

12. ONLY do this once.

13. If any part of the roll is not exactly as above it will not count.

i.e. if you fail to email me it does not count.

TIEBREAKER - if in the unlikely event that both rolls tie they will both re-roll as above.

As for fees I have never used leaguesafe and never had a problem in 10+ yrs as commish of multiple leagues each year.

Let me know if you have any other questions. One spot is unofficially taken but won't be final until he paypals sometime over the next 24-48 hours.

Aug 14 update - 1 of the 2 spots is 100% filled.

The other spot has 2 tentative people over the past couple days but not paid for yet so still open.

Last chance at a 50/50 chance to own chris johnson for $26 in a 200 cap auction league.

Plus the option to have him for $31 next year in 2011!
