Auction average values? (1 Viewer)

Fantasy auctioneer had a feature last year that gave the equivalent to ADPs for auction drafts. They are out of commission for this year so I was wondering if anyone else knows of site or place to find similar average auction values?

From the MFL what's new page for commissioners:

Here at MyFantasyLeague.com, we're still busy working on the site for 2009 to ensure that your league experience here is better than ever before. Some of the many enhancements that we've already completed for 2009 include:1. Free Draft-Only Leagues - Everyone knows that the draft is the best part of the season. So why not draft? We're happy to provide free Draft-Only Leagues to the fantasy community. In a Draft-Only League owners draft a team, then are scored, based on their weekly top performers that fill a starting lineup. No trades, waivers or lineup submissions, your job is done at the end of the draft. All that remains is to discover how much you really did know at the beginning of the season. Set up a league and invite some friends!

2. Average Auction Values - We're now compiling and reporting Average Auction Values across all MyFantasyLeague.com-hosted leagues that run on-line auctions. In addition, there is a new "Average Auction Values" home page module available on the Home Page Modules and Tabs Setup page for you to include on your league home page, if you'd like.

3. Recent Draft Picks - A new home page module called "Recent Draft Picks" is available on the Home Page Modules And Tabs Setup page which will show you the 5 most recent draft picks in your draft, as well as the 5 upcoming picks.

4. 3 New Skins - The Select A Skin page has been updated to include three new skins: "Blue", "All-American" and "SuperLeague". You'll notice these three skins are the same name that used to be on the "Select A Template" page. With this change, we've officially "deprecated" the Template idea on MyFantasyLeague.com. See this blog post for more details on these changes.

5. Player Profile Displays 2008 Stats - If you click on a player's name, you'll go to the "player profile" page. Here in the 2009 pre-season, that report now displays actual weekly 2008 player stats and fantasy points, where previously, it displayed the NFL schedule for that player for the 2009 season.

Don't forget to take full advantage of our Customer Referral Program, which allows you to earn big discounts on your 2010 league purchase with us!

As always, please let us know if you have any comments, questions or suggestions for the site!

Sincerely,

MyFantasyLeague.com

ie not avail to general public FYI. PS if this is what the avg winning bids are I need to get into these leagues! $43 for Peterson with a $200 cap? I think FF Toolbox has some stuff (hope I don't get zapped for that)

Are you suggesting that is too high or too low? In my long-time (11 year) auction league, Peterson has been owned since he was a rookie for $94 ($300 cap). That's a GREAT BARGAIN in that league for an elite RB.

They are available to the general public, via the link: http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2009/aavI would be reluctant to use "average auction values" from anything other than a league that is exactly like your own league's setup. I know a $200 cap is mentioned on the page, but the links to leagues do not all have $200 caps, and I would not trust a translation which I imagine is what was done. The first league I clicked on had a $150 cap and small rosters. My league, if it was included in such a thing, would have a $500 cap and 55 player rosters and 26 starting players each week and our auction values would be only for free agent veterans whose salary is based on amount of free cap room which could vary hugely from one keeper league to another.

MFL's values aren't something I would want to just take and run with as is, because you have a jumble of different scoring systems and starting lineup requirements and roster sizes. I don't know of anywhere else that has some available. But if I were looking to use MFL's, I'd probably use the ability to go see leagues that were included in the average you tell it to find, and find a few that are similar to my setup... dump the results into Excel and calculate the averages for each player.

That should be a lot more meaningful than any average values that include who knows how many different league setups.

thx and good point all around.your suggestion sounds like more trouble than it's worth though, frankly. I would just browse a few web sites, maybe an FF mag or 3, and you can get a ballpark from there, assuming your league isn't way out with scoring or roster sizes.
