Auction help (1 Viewer)

This is my first year in this league. It’s a 12-team auction league. Cap is $150, roster requirements are as follows: 2 QB, 3 RB, 4 WR, 2 TE, 2 K and 2 DEF…START: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF. Very Tight, but if you spend all of your money before you fill all of your roster spots you can fill the rest of your roster at the end of the auction for $10 each (no limit). It will be like a snake draft for those who need to fill roster spots. I’ve never seen this before and I was wondering what kind of strategy to go with? Spend my entire cap on starters and pick up reserves for $10? I’m thinking of saving enough cap $ to pick up $1 K, DEF and backup TE. Not sure what would be best? What do you guys think? Scoring is 6pass, 1pt/20 pass, 8 ru/rec. 1pt/10 ru/rec.

Thanks

You're going to need to elaborate. That doesn't make any sense. How do you have a $150 cap that you can spend all of in an auction, then go add additional players from waiver at $10 (unlimited). That would put you over the salary cap. Unless there isn't one, in which case who cares if they are $10 or $50,000 if you can add an unlimited number?

If you do indeed have a $150 cap, waiver scrubs costing $10 instead of $1 in the auction would be a very bad deal.
