AZ head coach in '07 (1 Viewer)

If AZ goes 2-1 to end the season they'll be 5-2 in their last 7. That might be enough to save DGreen's job. Probably not, but maybe it should be.

No scoop but I think Russ Grimm would make a great fit in AZ....I'm not sure how guys like Chow, Martz and Cameron are any different than Denny Green. Seems to me the best way to protect a young QB is with a solid O-line and running game. Grimm brings a blue collar mentality that might serve the Cardinals well.

HOUSTON — Stanford officials contacted Titans offensive coordinator Norm Chow this weekend about their head coaching vacancy.

"I told them I wasn't interested," Chow said Sunday after the Titans defeated the Texans.

He said he's too excited about what's going on with the Titans to worry about college coaching opportunities that have passed him by in recent weeks.

Chow interviewed with Arizona State and North Carolina State last week, but N.C. State hired former Boston College coach Tom O'Brien and Arizona State is reportedly going with former college and NFL coach Dennis Erickson.

"It is fine," Chow said. "They did what the had to do and we are very happy to be here."

Asked if he was disappointed with Arizona State's decision, Chow said: "Not at all. We just weren't given the opportunity. I thought about it for about two minutes."

Vince has been coming along -- Chow might feel very good about the future of the offence and his role in it. I could see him staying in TENN given the choice.

Chow isn't really head coach material.Besides, why would he want to ruin his career in Arizona?
Just reporting what Cardinals insiders are talking about...Martz is getting some mention as well.
Who are these insiders ? Martz is supposedly not in the picture anymore, but Cam Cameron and Ron Rivera have been mentioned alot lately. Provide some extra info or I'm gonna have to write this off as a BS post

Martz as Head Coach with that abysmal Offensive Line: Sure death for Leinart. Hello shouder injury! It's my opinion that the reason Marc Bulger is still limping around to this day is a direct result of being coached by Martz for so long. There's no one even close to Orlando Pace on the Cards' roster either although he's not done well in 2006.

Arizona: Where coaches and players go to die.
I wont argue with that. One of the worst run franchises in pro sports.
With the new stadium, new QB, new look of the team, etc. I'm feeling a turn around in the desert. If Leinart becomes a top 5 QB, the franchise will be on the upswing both in attendance and league record.

Has been, but I would put this job as equivalent to Saints job last year. A good QB in the making in Leinert with the learning curb much more progressed by playing this year, Edge, And 2 awesome wideouts. The Defense has not played that bad. This team is a good draft with a few O lineman away from being a contender. If I was looking for a job, this is the one I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I disagree. It's my opinion that the reason Kevin Jones is out of the season is a direct result of being coached by Martz for so long. The guy just runs the ball way too much.

Given the Cards' history, my bet would be on either Rich Kotite or Les Steckel. Just sayin'....
Well on that note, I heard it's Pete Caroll that's putting out the word he may like to reunite w/ his former college QB.I believe that was on Inside the NFL or in Sporting News. Not sure which one, but that's the one I saw.Personally, I think they would be pulling the plug on Denny Green too soon. Not that i like/dislike him, but he's a pretty good coach. And this team NEEDS on O-Line more than a HC.

Leinart does not have much chance of being a top 5 QB if they do not do something extremely positive about that O-Line

Saw the same thing. Report said he wanted Saban like control of a team.

No way does Chow become an NFL head coach next year. If the Titan season would have stayed sour then I think he would have taken a college HC position. I bet he stays.
