B.B. King booed (1 Viewer)

I went to a BB King show a few weeks ago. I'm a huge fan. I recognize he's incredibly old and it was very clear his health is failing. Some parts of the performance were fantastic. But other parts were pretty awful. He did the same thing at this show, singing "You are my sunshine" with the audience for a solid 15 minutes. Nobody at that show would dare boo such a legend, but that part and a few others were pretty boo worthy, admittedly.

You would think you go into a show like with somewhat lower expectations, and at least have the decency to respect the king, but if folks shell out the cash I can understand where they were coming from.

Just watched pretty much the whole video. I didn't hear any booing and the crowd seemed respectful throughout.

College buddy and I both played guitar and we used to imitate and make fun of BB by just hanging on a single note with vibrato... silence... single note with vibrato

Looks like he's outdoing our impressions now

Didn't hear anyone booing on the video, must've been later on. He's a legend but at 88 he should consider just a special appearance here and there. No need to try and perform a concert.

Paying customers can boo if they want I guess but that's a tough spot to put a legend in there. I could understand some walking out quietly but to heckle him is out of bounds IMO.

BB came to Tulsa and my buddy was working at the Double Tree as a bell hop/valet. He was helping BB and his "handler" big fella maybe he was his bouncer to their room. My buddy goes to grab BB's guitar and carry it to the room for him. BB says, "No one touches Lucille son!" Tipped him a 100 dollar bill and was very nice signing pictures/autographs for everyone.
