Babineaux, Jordan SEA S

I was just wondering if anyone can shed some light on me about him. I am in a bidding war for him and right now he would cost be about half of my Z Bucks( 4,000 out of 8,500) Here are my current DB's:

K Kennedy, G Wilson, D. Foxworth,T Davis, B DAwkins, Mike Brown and L. Milloy

you arent really serious are youand if you arent and you dont have the high bid RUN AWAY and RUN AWAY FAST

i dont really know the zealots specifics but half on a DB is steep in and of itself let alone a guy that got playing time due to an injury

We keep 40 players and have a 13 round rookie draft. The "money" is only used for FA's..

I believe he scored over 90 points in his playing time.....

top 10-20 DBs are almost always able to be had off the WW once the season starts I wouldnt spend HALF my funds on a DB but thats me

This was my thoughts exactly.

I'll shed some light on the situation for you.

Babineaux would never even see the playing field for you. With Kennedy, Wilson, Dawkins, Brown and Milloy on your roster, I'm not even sure why your looking for another Db. You can only start 3 very week. I left Davis off the list because of the possibility of him moving to Lb. Even if you want another quality Db, Babineaux is anything but. He only saw action last year because of injuries to Ken Hamlin, Kelly Herndon and Andre Dyson. I doubt he even gets close to half as many fantasy points in 06. Unless you see Adrian Wilson or Troy Polamalu on the waiver wire, you shouldn't be spending close to $4000.00 Zbucks on a Db.

I hope for your sake, you are not the high bidder at this time.

Looks like some of the guys have gotten "auction fever" where they have become wrapped up in winning the bid versus the value of the player they are bidding on. Even with nothing better to do with the money in sense, don't get caught up in this. i am sure that there is some guy with potential who will cost you 10% of that amount.

Good move. I'm in two ZF leagues (15,32) so I am familiar... No way would I have bid anywhere near what it escallated into. DBs are not worth it in ZF. Save your ZBs and grab a DB in late August or early in the regular season. There will be several on the wire that perform well. Also, you could consider a late round rookie pick to shore up your DBs.

Go grab Coy Wire for 50 zbucks. He could be the starting SS for Buf, replacing Milloy. Also check out Justin Miller, a CB/KR combo that could put up McGee type numbers in 06.

Thanks to the posters that actually had some insight on this. I didn't up the bid....
What insight do you need? The guy is a DB, one of which most people never heard of. Thank your lucky star that you didn't end up with him for that price. To put things in perspective. Kurt Warner went for 4,000 ZB's in Z-34.
