Baby names (1 Viewer)

We have a baby coming in August -- we are electing not to find out gender of the baby. Here is what we have on the docket:Boy: First Name - Owen (A name that I've always liked) Middle Name - Daniel (my first name)Girl: First Name - Amelia (We liked the name 'Mia', wanted a formal first name), Middle Name - Louise (my wife's middle name)We have 1 boy already, Connor Michael, who is an 18 mo. old.
Wow, somebody with some solid name choices. Maybe there is hope after all.Hmm... Owen Daniel... has sort of a ring to it.
Thanks Zed!It took us forever to find a boy's name we liked with Connor (just liked it, no reason), middle name was always going to be Michael (my dad and my brother's first name)Shortly thereafter we found the name Owen and my middle name was a logical fit (No coincidence to the Texans TE, as I am a Steelers fan through and through). Girl's name the first time around (we didnt find out for our 1st as well) was Susan Isabelle, we have since soured on that and we like Amelia Louise alot. We liked the name Molly alot but my cousin beat us to the punch on that once

I'd wanted to honor my Aunt June - the only person who could get me to smile as a baby & a remarkable story: a bedroom recluse after being raped by a farmhand and then died in the same room of leukemia in her mid 20s after refusing treatment, she left behind poetry & paintings that still break my heart - and my grandmother (Evangeline) by naming a daughter after them since i first thought about being a parent, so i staked out that right after my gf got pregnant. She got the naming rights to a boy and that's what we got, so Jacob Lee (whom i call "Adverb") is my son's name.

We're screwed if it's a girl. My wife likes names like Sienna, which sounds like a Mt. Range or a soda to me. Either way I can think of easy ways to call a girl named Sienna a whore.

"Heeey, I climbed mount Sienna last night!" :hi-five's his buddies:

"Someone had a nice tall glass of Sienna last night!" :hi-five's his buddies:

"Hey, I ####ed Sienna last night!" :hi-five's his buddies:
Hey, guy, that's somebody's daughter.

we are in search of a new baby's name. Not sure yet if its a boy or girl. The name must start with the c. I prefer a name of origins of Irish Gaelic or Celtic.Connor was a possibility but it just seems too trendy so it's not an option anymore.

are ones I like. Someone likes the name Clubber? That poor kid would get teased to death.

We're having a girl in June and we are at a complete loss as to what to name her. We don't have any family obligations for first names. I want to use my mother's maiden name as her middle name, but my husband and I can't seem to agree on what to call her. I feel like his suggestions are all grandmother names or stripper names and I think he thinks that my names are too boring (I like names like Katherine and Elizabeth, etc.).

This isn't as much fun as I thought it would be. :kicksrock:
?

Currently have 2 children (23 months apart).

Son: Connor Jeffrey

Daughter: Caitlin Mary

My wife had an awful delivery with Connor, so I pretty much let her pick that name solely because of what she went through.

We both liked the name Caitlin, so went with that.

I like Caitlin but the thought of people calling her katie or kate is a no go for me

Favorite common boys name: Charles (elegant without pretention in long form, and who dont like a guy named Charlie?!). Hate Chuck, though, but its the best of the JohnJamesRichardWilliamMichael generation of names and should make a comeback.

Favorite uncommon boys name: Donovan (Irish without being affected-sounding or eyechart-looking). Sounds good on its own or can be broken down to two nicknames (Don, Van), which gives a kid a choice.

It's a boy. So, now we have some direction.

I have a short list. The wife has heard them and other than a couple that I got an outright no on, not much feedback yet. My two favorite are Caeden and Corbin.

You should really consider the huge pain in the ### it will be for him to tell everyone how to spell Caeden every time.

Wife and I watched an episode of house hunters the other day. A couple had an infant girl named Scout. WTF? They also had a dog and it was named something like Emily.
