Assuming the pass was from someone already established in the front court, this is a violation. Person in the back court still is established as someone in the backcourt. If this was from an inbounds pass, then it is fine.
Edited to add: Just think of it as a person out of bounds. If you pass to him and he jumps from out of bounds inbounds before establishing himself, it is a turnover.
