I can't believe I've never tried this before. I've been living in the dark ages but welcome enlightenment. It's amazing. So, so amazing.

Welcome.  Reading this makes me wish I could experience my first bacon on pizza experience all over again.

Some people are going to give you crap for being late to the party.   #### them.  Most of us are just glad you're here.  What happened in the past can't be changed, but we do have control over our future pizza choices.

There's a pizza parlor not far from my house whose "Deluxe" specialty pizza is sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and BACON.  Red pizza sauce and cheese as the base.  The bacon on this pie is long strips of bacon generously topped across the top, and it's a thin crust cut into squares so they trust the cut to break the bacon apart into smaller pieces. 

We rarely have bacon left over after cooking it at the house, but when we do we save it for homemade (or semi-homemade) pizza night.  I like a BBQ sauce base with cheese, chicken, red onion, bacon, and recreate the flavors of a BBQ chicken sandwich on pizza.  

There are many excellent suggestions in this thread for toppings combinations that work great with bacon.  Trust them.

A few years back we did a family brunch at Granite City location. Unraveled their cinnamon roll, inserted bacon strip and rolled it back up.
