Bad new for Justin Miller? (1 Viewer)

Jets released WR Tim Dwight.

A vote of confidence for Chansi Stuckey, who could return kicks and man the slot as a rookie. Dwight, 32, has chronic foot problems and could be done.

Is Justin Miller still in trouble with the law? I am in an IDP league that counts kickoffs. I hope he still is returning.

I'm in a CB-required league that allows for return yards. Miller was money in that league, but I didn't go after him this year. Between Stuckey and Revis, I think Miller will not be startable. Check with Rovers though, he's the Jets guy.

RE: Stuckey and kickoffs. I'd be shocked if he takes the job. Milller is a great, great returner.

Miller will return KO's.... if he had hands, he'd get the punt return job too, but he just can't catch the ball. Revis or Stuckey will win that job.

Actually, that was in 2005, not last year, and yes, it was a disaster.... something like 5 muffs, 3 turnovers in 4 games.... Miller can't catch KO's either, but he has time to pick the ball up and run.

So would you say the Jets' D/special teams is a good pick this year. I had a draft last night where you get 9pts for returns for TD. I was targeting the Dolphins because of Ginn, but defenses just started going like crazy. I waited until round 15 to grab the Jets.

The Jets always have outstanding special teams, and are always a threat to score in any given week. The problem is the defense itself. Not much of a pass rush, and still weak against the run. The upside is that Revis could be a solid INT for TD guy this year. Granted, it was only one preseason game, but he loks very dangerous both as a punt returner and CB with a nose for the ball. Still, it's a gamble to hang one's hat on a team's ability to score on ST's and D, because it is such an unpredictable event. Much depends on the scoring system, but with 9pts/TD, the Jets could be pretty good.

Didn't he goto the pro-bowl for his return skills.... and yeah... I remember 2005 too... ugly
