Ballsy/Crazy/Stupid/Genius moves (1 Viewer)

I'm benching Greg Jennings for Higgins or Breaston (haven't decided which one and we get points for return yardage). I'm also benching Grant for Fargas.

I figure the Packers won't do much against the Titans and Oakland is going against Atlanta while Arizona is playing the Rams. Should be lots of points in those matchups.

What ballsy/crazy/stupid/genius moves are you guys making this week? If you could also explain you reasoning I think it would help other owners in similar situtations make tough decisions.

similar to you, i'm debating starting garcia (v. KC) over Rodgers (v. TEN).... although rodgers really hasn't had a terrible game yet this year and has just had two weeks to prepare for the league's best defense and rest his shoulder.

I'm starting Orton over Roethlisberger. Also benching Winslow for Olsen.

Winslow's matchup with BAL looks to be a tough matchup and Derek Anderson didn't build on the previous good week. Roethlisberger has an OK matchup with WAS, but is banged up enough to give me pause.

Besides, both Olsen and Orton face the Lions this weekend. Start all your Bears with confidence. :lmao:

Ozymandias started a thread pointing out the Titans have allowed 3 passing touchdowns all year. They have 12 interceptions.

Yes, but two of those passing TDs came vs. the first real passing offense they faced all year. I would start Jennings/Rodgers without hesitation. I like GB to come out of this game with a W.

Ummmm...Houston is 5th in the league in passing offense, and they intercepted Schaub 3 times.

I was going to mention that in my post, but Tenn played them early season when the Houston offense was a complete mess; Tenn wasn't the only D having a great day vs. Houston early season. I guarantee you those numbers will look much better for Houston the second time they play.

This week I'm benching Brees and starting Orton. Hope all you guys learned your lesson from benching your studs last week.
Brees is on a bye. :goodposting: Last week I benched Brees for Schaub. Brees outscored him by 2 points. I'll live with that. I also benched Turner for Green-Ellis and Leon Washington. There's a lot fewer studs out there than people seem to think. And don't ever underestimate matchups.

I got it. I thought it was funny. I was also spelling it out for others.

Guess I'm the one who should pay attention then.

Bulger over Rodgers

Seems like just about every weekly ranking has Rodgers over Bulger. I don't get it considering Rodgers vs Tenn and Bulger vs AZ :lmao:

Orton over Cutler.Although with all the Orton love in this thread, I'm starting to reconsider.
I've made the mistake of starting Drew Brees over my backup QB playing the Lions in week 2 with Aaron Rodgers and week 5 with Kyle Orton and it cost me both times. The Bears should have plenty of chances to score. Monitor the weather though because it could always be nasty in Chicago. Luckily, Brees is on a bye and I don't have a tough decision to make.Has any QB had a poor fantasy game against the Lions this season?

With bye weeks and injuries...I really don't have any.

Last week it was MeMo for Turner and sitting Manning for Rivers despite the possible bad weather.

This week Im lucky to field a team.

Next week could be worse if Parker does not come back while Barber is on a bye.

trying to work a deal to get Orton for TO and Zach Miller... then it will be a decision between Orton vs. Detroit or Cutler vs. Miami

I'm starting Ronnie Brown.

And Ricky Williams.

This is more because of no options/LJ sux/bye week issues/thin ww than it is ballsy/crazy/stupid/genius.

OK, maybe it is a little crazy.

And very likely stupid.

As of right now, for my RB2, sitting Slaton vs MIN (want to see if the 2 DT's are suspended first), and starting LandWhale vs GB.

I'm starting Rice over Torain (16 team league, and I have Gore and Deangelo on byes) even though I've heard that Torain is the second coming.

benching TO for kevin walter.
Owens has been an ugly 2nd rounder for me lately, but look at his record against the Giants...Career - 8 Games, 44 Catches, 704 Yds (88 yds/gm) and 9 TD'sLast 3 seasons - 4 Games, 23 catches for 394 (98/gm) and 5 TD'sAnd then there's his November record:Last 3 seasons: averages 6.7 catches for 115 yds per game, and 12 TD's in 9 games.I think he shows up this week against the G-men.

Crazy and Stupid: An owner in my new league just dropped Joe Addai for Faulk. The league entry fee is $200 so I am :lmao:

This isn't the owner's first move and you'd think they would learn a lesson -- owner also dropped Boldin the week right after his injury and traded me Brandon Jacobs for McCain.

Wow...all you had to give up for Jacobs was a 72 year old Candidate for POTUS?

HA! Good catch.Yeah, I guess politics are on the mind. LOL

Hey, at least I didn't pore salt in the owner's womb.

Do you have any openings for next year?

No, I haven't been drinking the Torain flavored kool-aid, but I'm thinking about starting him this week. (Gore on bye, McFadden Hobbled by another toe injury, and Mewelde Moore may lose his job to Parker.)

It'll be a game time decision depending on how Parker looks.

 Actually, this owner is a cry baby and most likely won't be invited back next year. (which sucks for my team!)

Going with E. Graham at KC over MBIII @ NYG
Worst. Move. Ever
With the Chiefs being a team that gave up an 80 yard touchdown run to LenDale and the Cowboys being without Romo going against the defending Champs I wouldn't say that is the worst move ever.I'd probably classify it more ballsy/crazy/genius than I would stupid.
It's a genius move, especially with Dunn looking like he's out.

Kevin Faulk over Ryan Grant, still debating this one though. Faulk should see a nice amount of carries and could snag a TD in the air also. Grant against a Titans D not so sure, even though he may indeed get 25-30 carries.
