Ballsy/Crazy/Stupid/Genius moves (1 Viewer)

Last week really paid off for those who started Pierre Thomas. Let's all hope any moves we make this weekend pay off as well.

I can't decide between Pierre Thomas and Ronnie but whichever guy I play it's a vaguely dicey decision to bench the other.

I'm benching Santonio Holmes for Joshua Cribbs. Romeo is going to get him more involved and in return yardage leagues he's not a bad play this weekend. Considering Holmes is going against the Ravens and it was a no brainer.

What ballsy/crazy/stupid/genius moves are you guys making this weekend?

I had been starting Coles for the most of the year as my WR. But this past week I replaced him with A. Bryant. I needed 12 points on Monday night out of Bryant and the move paid off and got me into the semis this up coming week. Thanks Antonio.

Antonio Bryant and Vincent Jackson are begging me to put Reggie Wayne on the pine. I don't know if I can pull the trigger

I'm considering Pierre Thomas over Michael Turner.
I know Tampa is usually stout against the run but the Falcons are playing at home this weekend.
Tampa will be stopping the run with a purpose in Atlanta on Sunday. I doubt that defense enjoyed getting embarassed on MNF.
I don't think Tampa wanted to have the Panthers run all over them last night...so it's not as though they'll be able to stop Turner simply because they WANT to.

Same boat as you as far as the RB2, Pierre or Ronnie, to start along with DeAngelo. The cold weather in Chi-town scares me; meanwhile Ronnie is at home.I think I'm going to leave Pierre Thomas in there, however. He's the one who has the hot hand and the info in these places also seem to tip the scales in his favor.

http://www.kffl.com/article.php/97886/512 (lists Thomas as a sleeper and the data is compelling)

http://www.kffl.com/article.php/97885/512 (lists Brown as a bust and while the reasoning isn't as strong as the info for Pierre, still enough to give me pause)

http://www.fftoday.com/stats/fantasystats....&LeagueID=1 (S.O.S. in favor of Thomas' match up)

If you watched the game you would have noticed that Tampa played mostly 7 man fronts and didn’t really come out of it. I’m not sure why they didn’t bring another safety up to help when they were getting run over on every play, but they didn’t. I would guess that extra safety will be up against the Falcons. I’d bump Matt Ryan and Roddy White, and project Turner for 70-80 yards and a TD. Not bad numbers, but he won’t gash the Bucs like the Panthers did.

In one league I am really tempted to sit Wayne for VJax, too. Wayne isn't doing anything and this drought has been against what looked to be tasty match ups.

Well there goes Steve Smith starting for me againsrt the Broncos. I doubt Delhomme will have to throw a pass in the game. :goodposting:

I'll have to stick with AJ against the Titans and Boldin vs. MIN

Starting Addai AND Rhodes along with PManning. My other choices are Dunn and Lynch. I am banking on getting all of the Indy points in a pummelling of the Lions. My luck it is a 10-6 game.

This is ballsy, but seems unnecessary. Turner is going against TB at home where he has run much better and TB's running defense seems to be on the ropes (now #18 in the league after last night's fiasco). Thomas will be running at Chicago against the #8 run defense. Teams playing against Chicago tend to rely heavily on passing. This decision seems easy. Go with Turner.

Yes, but I think those numbers will likely turn out better than what Pierre Thomas can do against Chicago at Chicago.

You have great receivers! Teams may be able to run on Denver, but they usually pass a lot as well because Denver has the ability to put up lots of points. Denver is allowing an average of 230 yds/per game passing, #27 in the league. I think the choice between AJ and Steve Smith is pretty close. Titans are the #3 pass defense and only have allowed 8 TDs. AJ went 2-29 and zero TDs against the Titans in their earlier game this year.

Dude your scaring me. The more I think about it the more I don't know what to do here. Not to turn this thread into ACF but what would you do?Sit AJ

It's a tough call, but I would go with Smith. Titans have pretty much owned Houston since the Houston franchise was awarded.

Lucky Pierre gets the RB#2 nod in my lineup this week over Lynch @ NYJ, Ronnie vs SF, and K. Smith @ IND. Lynch has been way too unpredictable in that suddenly aweful offense, Ronnie has been very pedestrian and the Niners D looks for real, and I can't bring myself to put my playoff chances in the hands of 2 Lions (I also have Calvin). By process of elimination (more than supreme confidence) I'm going with Pierre on Thursday night along with CJ3 @ HOU.

I'm going to go the SS route then, thanks!

I think that's a good call. It's what I would do as wellI'm playing AJ this weekend but it's him or Santonio. I don't have Steve Smith as my alternative otherwise it'd be a no brainer.

VJax and ABryant over Randy Moss. Obviously Bryant won't repeat his Monday night performance but New England

going cross country for the 2nd week in a row and the improved play of Oakland's secondary make me hesistant to

start Randy.

Toying with...

Sammy Morris @ OAK over MBIII vs. NYG - pending news out of DAL

Reggie Williams vs. GB (or maybe Gaffney) over Braylon @ PHI (my battle for 50 rec yds @ WR3... )

I'm rolling with Kevin Smith vs Indy over Lynch vs Jets.

Lynch has been pathetic...mostly because of Losman and Jauron's play calling.

I think Smith will get a lot of dump offs and will at least get me 10 points. Lynch, I'd feel lucky to get 5.

I'm thinking of benching Randy Moss and starting VJax and Hester. The Raiders seem to be good at shutting down the opposing teams #1 WR and I'm anticipating the other games will be high scoring.
