Baltimore at Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

Always amazed at how conservative the shark pool can be.

Would have preferred a bootleg with a run/throw option there though

Agreed. Fine with a pass play call there, especially a bootleg. 2 minute warning was coming up so not much of a time issue.

Throw was where it was suppose to be. WR didnt really win, good D that almost bordered on PI.

The positives of a third down conversion out-weighed the negatives of an incomplete pass. The NFL has always leaned too conservative...it's nice to see a few coaches finally bucking that trend.

There was no doubt in my mind that that drive was going to end in a missed FG. None. Absolute certitude.

I don't necessarily disagree with the 3rd down call, normally. What has Vick done tonight/his entire career to earn that trust though? Bell is one of if not the best back in the league.

Not with Mike Vick throwing to coates

OOOOOFFFF...gotta throw it anyway Joe. At least give somebody a chance to make a play. Heck even a defender picking it off might fumble when tackled.

I like the way you think. Coaches are way too conservative. I love what the Steelers did there. Just a nice defensive play.

The SPECIFIC pass play was terrible, but we don't know if that was the first read either. I'm talking more generally about run vs pass on 3rd and 5 in that spot.
