Without Rex Ryan these guys are clearly not the same D. In both games they have allowed 20+ points, is it time to search for another Defense and abandon these guys only after 2 week?
This. BUT, if they can't hold Cleveland to a TD or under or get a score, they may be worthless. I'll give them one more weekThey play Cleveland this week.
Brady sure didn't look shaky in the second half of the Bills game. They're about to hit a pretty good stretch...Browns, a shaky Tom Brady,

He's still stepping gingerly in the pocket, but I haven't watched every down. Looks like he's still a bit afraid of getting that leg hit. His mechanics are not back to form, and if a few guys get to him early, he could definitely regress more. Baltimore is the perfect team to upset his poise and get him off balance. But I could see one might hesitate to start the D when they're facing NE. Even so, the rest of the schedule is cake until week 11.I think we're gonna see more vanilla this week, GB. I doubt if they're too worried about Brady Quinn sustaining any long drives against them. They'll lay back, give the besieged corners some help and try to keep from giving up the big play.Of course, as soon as I predict this, Brady Quinn turns into Peyton Manning and hangs 30 on 'em.They've played it very vanilla the first two weeks & I'm not sure why. They've still got playmakers who can play the "old" Ravens style of D. It's when they went into their blitzkreig mode that they traditionally got the bulk of their turnovers. They haven't been doing much of that stuff so far, so not many INTs, sacks, fumbles, etc...The run D is fine. Rivers lit them up, but the Ravens have small corners & struggle against big WRs like SD has. Plus, as someone said - Rivers will put up big numbers on a lot of teams. In my opinion, they need to attack more to create turnovers. I'd love to hear Mattison's comments on why he's played it the way he has.FF-wise, I wouldn't give up on them just yet.
Agreed. Hopefully, we'll see the DL get some more pressure on their own. My biggest issue with the non-attacking style is that it takes some of Reed's skills out of play - both as a ball hawk & also as a blitzer. Reed isn't a great in-the-box run stopper. He shines more, IMO, when it's helter-skelter.I think we're gonna see more vanilla this week, GB. I doubt if they're too worried about Brady Quinn sustaining any long drives against them. Well, in my opinion, its not Brady so much as his O-line and the play calling. Is Brady somewhat tentative with his leg? Sure. However, most other QBs playing behind that O-line would look much worse than he has. Plus, they abandon the run early for some unknown reason. Its not like they don't have capable backs to pound out the yards. Brady definitely wasn't sharp against the Jets, but I have a feeling that the line will get things going and return to torching defenses. I think you'll see a difference this week.Brady sure didn't look shaky in the second half of the Bills game. They're about to hit a pretty good stretch...Browns, a shaky Tom Brady,He's still stepping gingerly in the pocket, but I haven't watched every down. They're going to need help over the top from Landry/Reed. The difference between NE and SD is that NE has one big speedy WR, NE had three, Gates and Sproles out of the backfield. Washington and Foxworth will do a better job with an aging Galloway and Welker...Foxworth and Washington can run with the undersized rec. A few things to note, in the SD game Landry freakin layed Ed Reed out and Ed is playing cautiously with the neck injury as it is. Reed didn't really look right after that 1st half hit. Also if you don't think Bmore is bringing heat on the QB, ask Rivers how he felt Monday morning, shoot, Tuesday morning getting out of bed. The pressure was there, Rivers just did a nice job getting rid of the ball when it was coming. Also not making excuses for Bmore or saying that giving up 200yds to WRs is a good thing but, 200 of those 400+ yds through the air came from Sproles and Gates. Sproles is probably the best rec RB in the NFL and Gates is a damn good TE. NE doesn't have a TE or a collective group of TEs that equal Gates's ability as a receiver and while Faulk has his moments and is a very good third down back, he ain't in Sproles's league as a rec threat. Time will tell with NE. Keep the Bmore defense at least for a few more weeks unless they're trade bait that's really going to improve your team. During those weeks pay attention to the safety play, they're the key to this defense becoming elite again. If they can't do a better job in coverage, the Bmore Team D is middle-of-the-pack/weekly match-up fodder fantasy wise. They're slightly worse if you play D/ST combined 'cause their return game is awful.how is baltimore going to handle moss in wk4? we saw what vjax did to their midget corners.
